| I will keep both you and Lucky in my prayers today. Toby just had his teeth cleaned yesterday, the first time since his spay. I was a nervous wreck, but as I type this he is on the floor wrestling with Lola and having a blast. Good luck to you, and I'll be waiting to hear how great everything went!!!!

| Thank you once again. I still havent heard anything which means her surgery is not done. I tried to call the Dr and they said he was in the middle of surgery they dont know for which dog though.... but apparently if he hasnt called me it means he hasnt completed Lucky's surgery so... he is hopefully working on her right now. |

| Another update: Just heard back from the surgeon and Lucky's surgery is done and she is just now waking up from the anesthesia. good news, surgery went well, not so good news we still have no idea what this lump is. He said he was able to get all of it out though eventhough it went pretty deep basically into its ligaments and tendons, but he was able to save them all so it all should heal nicely. She will likely have to stay at the hospital over night though since the surgery was deeper and will prob. cause her more discomfort than was anticipated. The only thing that worries me though is that he says normally if he was dealing with a tumor he would've liked to take some more of the normal tissue out just in case some cells had been deposited there, but in this case he couldnt cause it would have affected the structure of the paw. Plus we still dont know what we are dealing with so it could be unecessary. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this?? The original citology showed no evidence of infection or cancer, or anything malignant so that makes me feel more at ease, but still kind of worried.. any thoughts? |

| Glad to see your new update and the surgery went well and is over. Who knows? Crazy things appear from time to time as long as there were no cancerous cells that's great news. I had a terrier years ago that developed growths all over his body over years and went from one vet to another encluding an holistic one. Not one vet knew what they were but they were not cancerous I was told. I still don't know what this poor pup had, he lived for 16yrs. I'm assuming a virus of somekind. I hope your baby has a easy recovery and it does not appear again. |

| Thanks for that information. I was very worried about the fact that no one seemed to know what it was, but your experience is reassuring. I certainly hope it doesnt reappear! I just can't wait for her to be home! |

| So happy for you and Lucky!!! Try not to worry about them not getting enough surrounding tissue. When Buddy had his mast cell cancer, it was on his cheek. Had they taken the surrounding tissue, there would have been a hole the size of a half dollar into his mouth. Thank goodness that didn't happen. Because of course they would have sewn it up. Leaving no cheek, and showing his teeth. Which would have caused even more problems. You take care! Blessings |

| And that didnt cause him any problems later? In terms of the tumor coming back or spreading? I am trying not to worry too much! Just found out for sure Lucky wont be able to come home until tomorrow but that she is doing really well! |

| So glad to hear Lucky did well with the surgery, and there is no sign of cancer!! I know it must be frustrating not to know exactly what it was, but at least you know what it's not. I'm sure it will be tough not having your little one home with you tonight...will keep you and her in my prayers.
