I Love Thor Donating Member | Jack is 12?? What a handsome old fella in deed! He looks so young, still has that baby face. Wishing him luck and you strength tomorrow! I know it's gotta be hard going though this, but like you said, at least you can rest assured once this is taken care of. |

| Mike, -- Jack will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will say a few extras for you as well. Jack is a tough little guy - with enough love and determination for 10 dogs his size -- I'll be looking for updates! |

| Mike, prayers for Jack tonight. It's good that they finally discovered what's been wrong for so long. Please check back in with us, if you have time, to let us know how he's doing. Hugs to Jackie.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm not sure about hernias in general. This one Jack has was likely caused by being neutered too late in life, vets say. The emergency vet said this condition is pretty rare. There are other types of hernias that aren't as dangerous, and in fact Jack has a couple of those too on his belly.

| Ahhhh Mike! I will certainly pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery and also pray for you and your wife. It's always such a worry when we put our babies into surgery. I can't believe Jack is 12! Bless his sweet heart! I'm always amazed at how yorkies don't seem to age...Jack looks like a young one to me! Hugs to you and your wife and I hope to hear a good update from you soon!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Update The surgeon examined him tonight and agreed it's a procedure that should be done right away. I'm going to get a call in the wee hours of the morning, and I'll have to take him from pet emergency to the office where the surgery will be done. They're going to go in tomorrow and use suture to hold the organs in place. The procedure is occasionally done in two stages. If it doesn't hold just right, they'll have to go in again in a couple weeks. Thanks for the continued thoughts, everybody. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything. I have no idea what time the surgery will take place, but likely before noon my time. I'm 4 hours earlier than EDT.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | May God guide the surgeon's hand and watch over Jack and his dad. Rrosenberry's dog, Bella, just had hernia surgery. Hers was pretty intensive. You may wanna pm her. Rhonda, not Bella. Hugs Mike...thinking of your family today.
