Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ahhh poor Jack! I'm sorry he's going thru this. It's good to know it can be treated. I'll be praying so that the surgery today goes well. I'm at work so if you're 4 hours earlier than me, that gives me my whole workday to pray and send good thoughts to Jack and you. Big hug, Ellie |

| Wow- I guess I didn't remember that Jack was 12. Like Deb said Bella had a hernia when I got her from the pound.. they took her to a vet and said it was not big deal and to get it fixed when she was spayed. I took her to my vet and he thought it was much worse. So we did the surgery in the next few days.(yesterday it was 2 weeks having had the surgery) Her's also had the bladder in it and was twisted in her intestines. I was a long hard surgery she didn't have much good tissue ( lots of scar tissue) so it was hard to closer her up, he used a strong mesh. She has been on cage rest for 2 weeks and had her stiches out and still on cage rest for another 2 weeks. She is doing fine and ready to GO. Prayers that Jack will do the same, with no problems. I know he'll feel much better afterwards.

| My vet called a specialist.. during surgery.. wondering if he should use the other metal like mesh.. like Kevlar (sp) the other doc said use the mesh he had..and if it breaks loose the ^is the only other option.

| Mike, sending prayers for Jack and the rest of your family. He's a tough little guy and he'll be fine. I'm sure once the surgery heals he will feel so much better he might even be able to keep up with his brothers on those long walks!
