! If you want - you could also PM Laurenr - she is Mango's mom; Mango had a bout w/ pancreatitis and Lauren got in touch with Susan and just raved about her as well. I think she may have met her in person too, not sure though.

| Did the vet want you to use Royal Canin LF? To that I think I would say a big no. There is chicken, wheat and corn in it which would be just great for her allergies.

| right. and i'll be going back in a month to check that. Also part of me can't help but wonder if her numbers were so high ebcause of what she was eating leading up to the tests. The first test back in april- she was eating lamb (usually fatty- i didn't know!) and wasn't fasted. Then last week she had been eating salmon most of the week leading up- which is also fatty- just good fat. For me it just isnt adding up. i really thought she'd call back and say it came back fine- let's try another test... but i asked if this is a definititive diagnosis and she said yes... so i look forward to seeing what her blood work is in a month. |

| Sounds delicious. ![]() The kibble is the same as LF. It does have chicken, so Layla can't have it anyway. She also can't have the canned because it is meat by-products. The meat is unnamed, so it could be chicken. She just warned you about by-products?

| Crystal. When was Ellie diagnoised? did she have episodes and that's how you found out? What were her test numbers? Does she now get tested regularly? How much fat is she getting in her diet? |

She threw up eight times one day and I just pulled her food and gave her Pedialyte. She was fine the next day. A week later she had an abdominal ultrasound for her liver and bladder and the internist found it. Her amylase level was okay last fall and I don't think her lipase was ever checked. I never did the pancreatitis specific blood tests because it was just more money and she had already been diagnosed. She has never had blood work to specifically look for pancreas issues. Her diet is 18% fat. If there is any concern about a recurrence, she will probably get blood work done and the fat in her diet will be lowered. In Ellie's case it was most likely acute.

| My lil one has it too, her test came back yesterday at 321. Range is 0-200. Noticing that her stomach is upset so Dr. recommended COMFORT GEL, ever heard of it or used it before, I'd like to know. We also are dealing w/ one kidney with raised BUN and Creatine levels too...

| We knew she had one kidney since 12/06...we had her on k/d canned ever sine Sept, she HAS NO desire for it AT ALL. I have tried so many different foods, combinations, so now I'm on a low protein/low fat starting tonight. Jsut spoke to Dr going to have to start at home SQ fluid for her kidney, UGHHHHH! Has anyone done that and what are the pro's/con's and does it really help in the lifespan? I'm just sick with all of this and she is such a strong lil trooper I'll do whatever i can as long as she shows me the signs in return of wanting keep going with us, i do realize we won't much more time with her, she is almost 15 but still acts like 8...
