Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember hearing/seeing this on like, Dr. Oz or something. I just haven't done it! LOL

Mint is totally optional. A lot of people don't like mint in their food. It's not really supposed to be a taste ( and not, it's not supposed to taste like toothpaste LOL) it's more of a sensation/smell. Anyway, get the plain Fage, with cucumber, some garlic, salt and pepper. Eat it with gyro in pita bread. If you don't like gyro (or haven't had it) try some grilled chicken strips with tomato and onion, topped with tzaziki. Gyro is one of my fave sandwiches ever.

I adore Blue Cheese, I buy the 2lb wheels from Maytag Dairy Farms. Always have some in the fridge

I also love tripe - when I was growing up (although I haven't grown up yet <g>) mum always bought some at the open air market on a weekend. It was ready to eat. We just put vinegar (malt vinegar) in it.
I have bought it over here at Publix, cooked it and let it go cold then put malt vinegar on it - but it is never quite the same as what I had growing up.

I don't think I could do tripe on it's own.....it is very pungent! Blue cheese stinks too, I guess, but in a good way

I'm great with shellfish.....ALL shellfish I believe (although some are too fishy)

I was unsure how to mail the kefir grains. I could bring them along....not sure about refrigeration tho...... a cooler???

me too! I have been known to open up a can of chickpeas and eat the whole thing over the course of an hour or so

edamame is sold in individual serving pacs too! I keep them in the freezer and whip one out for a snack!
