This is going to sound silly, and I don't even know what ailment it cures, but one of my aunt's house hold remedies includes beer. Every morning, my aunt would send my cousin to the corner store and have her buy one single Corona. My aunt would then boil the beer and drink it cool. She claims it's a home remedy, but I just think she really likes beer for breakfast.

Why not pozole then instead of menudo?

I actually had menudo on Sat morning from a new place. What a LETDOWN! If anyone's in Fullerton, CA don't order the menudo from Don Carlos. 80% hominy, the tripe was rubbery. when the lady handed over my order she told me to be careful it's really hot. When I was holding the bag i was thinking, gee this sure isn't very hot at all. when I finally tasted it, it was lukewarm at best. Then the tortillas were all hard and dry. AND it was $7.99! WTF!

Ok, you and SM have gotten me convinced on the chiladas. I'll try it, but I don't want to try the Bud version. I love tripe (mexican style) but I still haven't had it in tacos There's a chinese dish which is pig small intestine in black bean sauce, it's really good, except not many places cut the pieces thin, they leave it in little hoses. There is the Taiwanese style, they call it "chitterling" they do slice it really thin, and serve it either braised or battered and deep fried with oyster sauce with ginger and cilantro, so yummy! Or in a thick soup broth with thin vermicelli type noodle, one of my faves growing up.

I've heard of kopu luwak, I just watched the Bucket List again. You're lucky to have been able to try it. I wanna try it and i don't really even like coffee.

Scrapple sounds like a poor man's pate, maybe even liverwurst? I'd try it. Doesn't sound gross to me. I like headcheese remember?

Ok, who likes beef tendon? and I'm not talking bully sticks! My favorite mexican place has birria with big pieces of tendon in it. I've tried it at other places, and they don't really have any tendon in it.

I would try a tendon before headcheese and scrapple.....sounds way less scary

it's normal here too but if you are not a bloody mary drinker you may not have heard of it. Lots of places in Florida serve your bloody mary with a beer chaser

I always thought Bloody Mary was made with tomato juice! I have tried ordering Caesars in the states before but nobody ever knows what they are

tomato juice or bloody mary mix or clamato (which is tomato and clam juice)
