I actually had menudo on Sat morning from a new place. What a LETDOWN!
If anyone's in Fullerton, CA don't order the menudo from Don Carlos. 80% hominy, the tripe was rubbery. when the lady handed over my order she told me to be careful it's really hot. When I was holding the bag i was thinking, gee this sure isn't very hot at all. when I finally tasted it, it was lukewarm at best. Then the tortillas were all hard and dry.
AND it was $7.99! WTF!
