I am so proud of everyone. I hope your will power and determination rubs off on me. |
No posts on here since Friday  !! I am guilty! Haven't been checking in and sure haven't weighed since I don't have a scale...only at the gym and only been there twice last week, but I am going today and will weigh in and may for the VERY FIRST time ever say my real weight  in public (sorta...:p) I hope you all have had a great week of weight loss and few temptations! Let's hear how y'all are doing !!! |
I'm here...I'M HERE!!!!!! :) i weighed myself and NO CHANGE since last weeks. which i guess is good. my investor is in town and when he comes in town, we eat out EVERY NIGHT. and days like yesterday...we ate out ALL 3 MEALS!!! :( i felt so sick by the end of the night. luckily, i have not gained any weight tho. so this week, i am laying low (with the exception of one last dinner tonight) and hopefully can shed a couple more pounds, we'll see :) |
Good morning everyone, I got on the scale this morning and I gained:eek: I can't believe it! I have been under 1200 calories, low fat, no sugar for two weeks. I went from 145.6 to 146.2:eek: Hello, how did that happen. Well on the bright side maybe I will loose double this week. I will not give up. Weird! Maybe because I don't have too much to loose. Only 8lbs but I want them "OFF". Hope you all did better. |

Don't give up - you might lose more the second weigh-in. |
I lost 3.5 lbs! Woot for me.:p Anyways, I tossed my fall back on size 14 jeans and my size 12's are actually not killing me to wear. lol I've had to adjust my bras-------- why oh why is it the last place I gain and the first place I lose???? I feel great and I'm honestly surprised at how motavating this thread is being for me. |

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for you. That's awsome. I am so happy for you. Don't you feel wonderful? |
Well at least you didn't gain but from what my nutrionist tells me and all the books I have read -you should not go below 1200 calories period. Maybe you are not eating enough and should spread out those 1200 calories into 6 small meals (I do 3 main meals at 300 calories and 3 100 calorie snacks to equal the 1200). Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. That way you are keeping your metabolism up. Don't give up - you might lose more the second weigh-in. __________________ I do that. Fruit, or fat free yogart at 3:00 and then a low fat snack around eight in the evening. I also walk approx 2mi 2-3 times a week on my lunch hr and Bud gets walked 20mins 4x day. It's just not easy to get the weight off when you get over 50 and I'm well over that:p It will come off but it takes me longer than most for whatever reason. Most people could not survive on what I eat daily. It's all good food but not much of it. |

I totally mean that as a compliment and hope it reads that way. |
Well all my hard work is starting to pay off - I haven't gotten any new clothes since I went on my new lifestyle of eating (1/15/07) and I wasn't going to until I hit my goal weight (I have 6 more pounds to go) but my freaking clothes were just hanging on me so I finally broke down Saturday and at least got a few pair of new jeans and some shirts.....OMG.....I had an idea that I went down a size - maybe 2 - I almost started to cry in the dressing room - I went down 3 whole pants sizes and now I'm in a 7-8...yipeee!! And I can wear some smalls in shirt sizes. I still want to lose that stubborn 6 pounds so I have some room for the holidays. OK - we all keep each other motivated to lose....now the hard months are a head of us all - parties, baking, cooking. Just keep counting calories in and calories out and exercise when you can. Hey - if I can do it - you guys can do it (I'm over 50!! and our metabolism is way slower than you young people!!!). Oh and I'm 5'6 so now my BMI is definitely on the low end and no longer in the "overweight catagory" which freaked me out last December when I first went to the nutrionist. Happy October everyone! |
Good going everyone! I have done nothingbut eat since my husband went out of town on Saturday and he won't be back until Wednesday.Oh man, I will be a blimp.I still haven't got any scales so no way in here. Im guesisng Im at 155 . |

I'm 5'4" and every pound on or off is a big deal it seems------I'd love a couple extra inches. Oh, and I'm 46---slow doesn't describe my metabolism........:p I'm keeping you in mind as my inspiration for sure! |

Of course I took it as a compliment..thank you very much! Oh - and to everyone - you need a cheat day for sure - mine was every Saturday evening (that's when we go out to dinner the most or to parties) and I used that evening to go over my limit. If I was not going anywhere I didn't cheat. But cheating doesn't mean eating the kitchen sink..lol..it was either getting pizza or having appetizers, etc. at a party and having my wine or martini. ;) Also - I know how slow metabolism can be - especially when you get past your 40s. Yikes! |
