| I remember reading you used the raw diet now! Where is my memory? I knew another lady that lost quite a lot eating raw. She also kept it off and is in competitive karate now! I may have to look into that a bit more seriously. I am dusting off my weight watcher's stuff right now and going back to the points. But I am sure I can incorporate a little more raw foods.

So true! I think I am going to "try" to change alittle! --more raw! Do you use anything special - equipment wise, supplements, etc? There is the new Jack LaLanne's blender maching (like $150) that is all for raw foods.......have you checked that out?

Awhile back, I cooked some acorn and some butternut squash - I even made them "unhealthy" by doctoring them up for him w/ butter and such - he did NOT want to try them......so I guess I nagged enough he tried it, about died (his words) and then somthered them under ketchup to eat them! What a baby! He grow up in a meat/potato household - never eating anything "healthy" or "green" - except for green beans! So, yeah, I have a hard time dieting in my house!!! Kathryn - thanks for all your advice!

| Big pat on the back and an "atta girl" Kathryn! Thats amazing! Before I started reading your post, I honestly thought maybe you had the stomach operation. I was really shocked you did it with diet! I'd never heard of this diet till now. I put on 30 lbs after leaving work in 04, and can't get that off! I suppose I'm not a good person when it comes to diet. I was always slim, till the past 2 years. And hitting 50 this year doesn't seem to be helping things at all either. Anyone who can stick to a diet long enough to loose that much weight deserves a metal! |

| Congratulations!!! I'm going to research this raw diet and see if we can do more raw. We don't do sushi, so would probably still have to cook the meats. |

| lol.... its funny the foods I kept are still somewhat "raw" lol sushi and the raw fish! lol Too funny! But Hubby kept his fast food lunches and still lost a ton! He just made better choices for his fast food... he stuck to chicken, cut out cheese, pulled of the top buns... its amazing how quickly he lost weight! but he still ate at burger king and mcdonalds fast food junkie he is... but in the end he totally cut it out cause it just was not what he even wanted... raw tasted better than any other foods and after a while he was like 90% raw... As far as special tools... a good knife or two, my cuisineart, and a POWERFUL blender! I have a Vitamix! I live in that blender! It was seriously a whole car payment.... but well worth it! I got to split it up into 3 payments on my card. its the best investment I ever made and I use it in 98% of the meals I make! Even salads... I whip up dressings in it! Fresh ginger dressings! Or sundried tomato dressing! I can even make a ranch dressing with cashew nuts! It tastes awesome! Brian makes the best salads! And I have to do a chop salad since I have braces... I can't do large hunks of veggies... Do I take my salad veggies and toss them in the food processer and chop them up. And if you want to boost your weight loss... if your a fan of atkins you can cook up some egg whites and chop them up and add them to your salads... thats a major boost! I don't do it... But I know alot of semi-raw foodists who do... Anyway.... My wedding anni is on April 20th so I would like to meet my goal by then! I know I can do it! I'm so back on the wagon! i was talking with hubby about it! I left my 3 black eyed peas on the plate today... the last of my cooked junky meals.... I'm back to wholesome foods! Wish me luck everyone! K

| Wow, seriously that is wonderful!!! When you reach your goal, you should post before and after pictures . You could even send them in to those womens' magazines like Fitness, Shape, OXygen, etc. Isn't it amazing being able to transform your body like that? You take your mind & body to levels you didn't even know you could achieve. I think I speak for all of us when I say you're an inspiration and you definitely motivate me to keep going on my weight loss goals! I know you'll shed those last lbs easily!
