| I'm interested to see what they say to you this time. That is if you do this in store. I haven't seen any flip or slide phones in their stores for a while now. They had none when we went in. I've been trying to find out what phones are available online on the AT&T site but it keeps coming up with an error message. This is the third day now.

| So I looked at the Go Phones on AT&T's site. The iphone 5s is listed at $550! Even the 4s is $450. You just have to outright buy it, similar to the AT&T Next plan, only the Next plan let's you pay in installments. Looks like we are not getting a new phone.

| Two phones =At t $100 month unlimited talk texts. 3 gb data shared with roll over.Never use all the data. My Company phone is TMoble.= service sucks in my area. I would make sure the provider works in your area. Doesn't matter if its cheaper if you need to go outside to the side walk and tippy toe on one foot to get phone service. I am following this thread because I have been amazed for years at how much the cell phone companies charge for first a phone and then next the service. It really seems to be robbery, except people pay willingly. I must confess, even though my ATT plan is the cheapest I've heard of being, the shared family plan thing... I do have this desire to have my own plan so I have been looking around a tiny bit. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay an additional $35 a month, $420 a year, more for a little autonomy from the bro in law. That's 2, 2 day, fishing trips to the ocean per year for me that I would have to essentially give up or find funds from elsewhere. | |

| Don't do it!!! TWO fishing trips? no way. Not worth it. There's a reason why they keep changing their plans. The older plans are cheaper and if you get out of that one you won't find anything cheaper. The plus about AT&T is their coverage. I looked at other companies plans and the road between vegas and CA if spotty at best, and since I make that drive several times a year, if something were to happen, I need coverage there. Also after checking around, I don't think I will find any cheaper for what we need. Since I got rid of the worthless insurance, our bill will be about $43 incl fees.

OMG I LOVE SALMON AND TUNA! Do not give that up for anything!!! I've never had them fresh from the ocean. Even when I lived in CA, all our fish was frozen from the market. Even sashimi grade. Unless you buy them alive from the tanks. Tuna and salmon belly..... yum.....

| Yeah I know it's frozen. People always rave about certain restaurants here in Vegas about flying in sashimi from Japan and charge a ridiculous price. It's still frozen. I doubt it's even from Japan!

The bellies, I do prefer lightly cooked, the fats are "WUNDERBAR!" Guess I better call up the bro in law and ensure the group plan is still a go... Man, the sacrifices we take so we can save a buck to go fishin! LOL | |

| OMG I wish I could take a trip like that. I LOVE salmon roe. Most people don't like it bc of the amount of oil and the pop. I love it! Do you cure your salmon roe or eat it right out of the fish? I'm used to the super briny ones at the sushi places but there is this restaurant in Belmont Shore (Long Beach, CA) and they cure their own ikura and it was much sweeter than I've had before. It was excellent! I've also seen uncured ikura at a japanese market in CA (very $$$!) still in the egg sac or whatever it's called. I wanted to buy but didn't know what to do with it. Or can you eat it just like that. Also love salmon belly. Anything belly! It's the best part of any animal. Do you guys have sea urchins up there? I would imagine they are everywhere but I hear San Diego to Santa Barbara are the best. I love sea urchin. That is what Uni's name means.

| I usually eat salmon roe on the boat fresh out of the fish, just an annual thing, in the salt water, once they hit the rivers, I haven't eaten it. I cure them for river fishing, bait. I haven't tried curing for eating. Intriguing, I'll try to remember this August, prior to then, the eggs are pretty small. I bet a sea salt and sugar wet brine for an hour or so would be about all that is needed. I scuba dove a lot in the 80s, we had a pretty good number of urchins then, not sure about now.... I tried it once or twice fresh... I don't recall enjoying it.... Sea Cucumber is the bomb though! Good stuff! I haven't seen a lot of eggs used for sushi here... LOL the sushi I do eat is usually from an all you can eat and there is always other things competing to get eaten. |
