Thanks for the heads up! Time to stop into an ATT store and browse. My next renewal is in July, all paid up till then. Haven't been in an ATT store in about 3 1/2 years since starting the plan. New phone just arrived in the mail at the last renewal.
I am following this thread because I have been amazed for years at how much the cell phone companies charge for first a phone and then next the service. It really seems to be robbery, except people pay willingly.
I must confess, even though my ATT plan is the cheapest I've heard of being, the shared family plan thing... I do have this desire to have my own plan so I have been looking around a tiny bit. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay an additional $35 a month, $420 a year, more for a little autonomy from the bro in law. That's 2, 2 day, fishing trips to the ocean per year for me that I would have to essentially give up or find funds from elsewhere.
