Sometimes I bring wasabi on the boat, doesn't get any fresher than that! My annual ritual once a year is mature salmon eggs, so around August when the salmon eggs are big and plump, I enjoy the pop pop pop of the egg texture and then the buttery creaminess just minutes after catching a hen with eggs. Some say "ewww", while I say, "you're missing out on the best!"
The bellies, I do prefer lightly cooked, the fats are "WUNDERBAR!"
Guess I better call up the bro in law and ensure the group plan is still a go... Man, the sacrifices we take so we can save a buck to go fishin! LOL
