Metallic copper walls sound so cool. I did a whole wall of blingy metallic copper infused glass tiles in my shower & bathroom and love it.

I saw on HGTV a short entry wall done in metallic purple, very expensive paint that looked like metal. I kind of want to do that in a dark purple on the exterior of my front door, which has a large oval etched glass center.

Just need to be brave I do love lots of bling and color here.

capt_noonie you got me thinking about metallic copper all day. Hmmm maybe that is what I'll do on the exterior of the front door. I want it to be "different" like red-door different, but copper might be better than dark purple. (Both colors are used inside the house.)

I get to do some kinda crazy colorful stuff over here in the land where colorful aloha shirts and dresses are the norm, haha.

Ann, do you have a pic of your garage door? I'm having a hard time picturing it, but sounds cool. We'd never be able to do something like that. We have HOA here LOL.

I'm attaching it here. Now that I re-read, I wonder if it sounded like I painted my main/big garage door black, but I just meant my little interior-garage door, not the big car-size door. I know it's just a little door, lol, but every time I pull into the garage it just makes me happy to see it, rather than just the plain dirty-white door that was there prior.

Yes I totally thought it was the big door for the car! So this is the door from the garage to the inside of the house?

Yup, exactly. Just the door that leads from the garage to the laundry room / mud room area.

How about chalkboard black, then you can leave msgs on the doors, lol! Sorry, brainfart...Lol. My kitchen is black with oak cabinets and parquay floor tile. Black and white speckled countertops Black appliances, except for the new SS fridge as black is now a special order. Who can wait a week for a fridge while your food rots? Thinking about painting it black. Black enameled chipped badly sink, 9 inches deep great for doggy baths and hiding dirty dishes, lol.

I totally *love* the color of chalkboard black, even if you don't use it as a chalkboard...just love the feel/look of it. The inside of our garage access door where it connects to our laundry room is painted w/ chalkboard paint. Some people paint their fridge doors in chalkboard paint and it looks really cool. What about that for your fridge? Although you may regret painting stainless steel later...

I haven't been on much lately been outside enjoying the weather ....Since some of you are talking about black I thought I would post a pic of my stove. It's interesting

It has it's quirks but I love the uniqueness of it so I put up with it.

Hi Ann, It's just an old stove that was in a church kitchen. They were replacing theirs with a new one so this is their old one. It was an old weathered grey color and it looked very bad. Everyone thought I was nuts because I had a nice new stove in my kitchen and I wanted to get rid of it for this. I didn't care, I took out a new stove with no regrets.

lol.....My original plan was to buy two identical stoves and push them together so I would have two ovens and eight burners. But I saw an ad in the paper for this and I went to look at it, now I have this. I just liked the uniqueness of it.

The griddle on top is sooo heavy, it's cast iron and probably weighs 60 lbs. It makes great stuff like pancakes, bacon, burgers, chicken breasts hash brown etc. etc.

I've been thinking about a bit of black board paint in my work room. I didn't want to do a whole wall, so maybe I might to a framed blackboard and hang it as a picture.

I love it! Reminds me of the La Cornue stoves. I saw this at Pacific Sales totally marked down. But this was before we were even looking at houses, and MIL's house stove is electric and this was gas. Too bad, bc now our house is gas and I wish we had this!!!



Love that apothecary cabinet you have in the back too! your kitchen!
