There is an entire deposition or courtroom transcript. She admitted using it in 2007 at work along with separate bathrooms for different races. And the porn and other things were all in there too I believe.

I haven't read any verified deposition testimony signed and dated by her and notarized or anything but her apology speaks to something pretty bad that she did. And I doubt that Food Network would have summarily fired her without hard proof of something she did or said that they figured damaged their brand. She'd probably sue them nine ways to Sunday if they fired her for no defensible reason.

She said under oath in the deposition that she used the word. She also confirmed some other things like the story about the waiters she wanted at her brother Bubba's wedding, although not exactly in the same words as the former employee reported.

I can't find any info on whether or not she was asked about the different bathroom privileges.

Kidding, right????????????? Separate bathrooms for the races?????? What - is she living in the 50's?!?! Are you kidding me?????? She testified that she had that kind of environment at her restaurants and made her black workers use a different restroom? I'm truly shocked to pieces. How in the world is it no one has leaked that to the public before now? What the heck?!?! That is soooooo offensive and monstrous I am speechless! That is racist from start to stop. How did restaurant inspectors allow that? That makes me so angry! All that sweet drawling and how're ya'll and junk and her black workers are using separate facilities!!!!!

I'm not sure if it was her testament or the workers who were allegedly made to use the other restroom. The white employees (according to employees) used the same restrooms as customers.

I enjoy watching Food Network, and especially enjoy the different personalities of different cooks, as well as their techniques. I don't have any favorites that I exclusively follow, and rarely cook as they do, but enjoy for entertainment value just watching them all. I love their enthusiasm for cooking and food.

I will miss Paula Deen, and what I perceive as her sweet, loving, Southern charm. She is somebody I'd like to have as a neighbor. I don't care about her weight, over use of butter, her health, or her wealth. I am impressed with her rags to riches life story, and her overcoming huge obstacles in her life.

Who are we to judge? Is there anyone on here who can honestly say under oath that they have never in their life uttered the N-word? And for those that have, does that mean you are a racist, and should lose your job and be shunned by the world?

As a society we all need to strive to be sensitive and respectful, and to do better when we know better. Peace begins in our hearts.

I would think separate restrooms for workers would be a civil rights violation and someone would have reported that right away. That doesn't sound true now that I think about it.

Apparently the former employees waited a long time to report a lot of violations, so that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't true.

Look at Mel Gibson, his behavior was kept hush hush in Hollywood for years. It wasn't until someone made an audio tape public that the world learned about his propensity for anti-Semitic, anti-black, misogynistic rants.

A private person's actions like Gibson is different than an employer who forces black employees to use separate bathroom facilities while on the job earning a living. There are federal laws about that and I don't think she is that dumb. She or her lawyers had to know that even if some poor people went along with something that racist for a while to keep their jobs eventually it would come out and a host of federal and state agencies and possibly even unions(depending on the states involved) would be on her butt the moment it did, not to mention ACLU, NAACP and many, many other organizations would be all over that nonsense. Talking bad is one thing but breaking federal civil rights and employment law - that's suicide.

Just not buying some of it quite yet. Yes, she admitted to some things, but so far only one side has spoken on the bathroom issue, etc. I'm not at all surprised that she is putting on an act. It is televusion after all... This reminds me of I Love Lucy and all the horrible things that went on behind the scenes.

Anyway, I'm left wondering why more employees aren't.joining in and why she chose to sue Heirs, Deen, their restaurants, and Deen's company. Seems a bit odd to me that if Heirs was behind most of it, Deen's separate company is being sued.
