How true, sometimes this case seems so bizarre! There is no defense, so they're making up stuff.

I know. Bizarro for sure. But that I-gave-myself-PTSD and cannot answer the State's questions has got to take the cake for weirdness, doesn't it? She victimized herself and uses her own self-induced stress as her excuse for not remembering.

I'm sure some of our soldiers fresh from Iraq and Afghanistan could teach her a thing or two about what real PTSD is.

Really!!??? I'm not buying it. And I hope that Shrinky Dink Doctor loses his credibility and is never able to charge anyone $250 an hour again for his opinions ! He's a quack - that has fallen under Jodi's spell!
Since Travis has been diagnosed as being brutally murdered and is very dead I don't care what or if Jodi has stress due to her murdering someone - that is all lost on me! I say put her under the jail and throw away the key!! And I don't want tax payer dollars supporting her either! She is not rehabilitate'able ......

Luckily, there is no way this woman will get off. She has admitted to murder, so now it's just a matter of degree of murder. Sure, a trial could result in a hung jury - but I don't see that happening here since the jury knows she is 100% guilty, by admission. The jury really needs to just argue degree and/or self defense. If by some crazy odds, the jury was hung - the state would recharge anyway.

What a crazy, crazy trial though, eh? Nuts. Pretty rare though that we actually get to see an admitted murderer on the stand, in a death penalty case!

It was mentioned on the news last week that Jodi has a girlfriend in prison and that they want a baby....???? I can only pray that's media driven drama and an impossibility......???
What happened to the concept of consequences in this country...? If you are not safe to live among the community you lose your rights and privileges ......? I thought that was what prison was about....? Our Founding Fathers would be horrified!

After seeing the results of Casey Anthony trial, I'm not so confident. I think if she gets manslaughter or some form of self-defense, she is getting off. I've never heard of a case that seems so premeditated and we know she can lie like a pro. I'm usually against capital punishment, but I think I'm really for it in this case, she's rotten to the bone.

I'll be so surprised if she gets the death penalty. Juries never seem to give the death penalty in crimes of passion even or spousal murders and very rarely to women. So she'll just likely get time but I hope it's at least 20 years and then maybe she'll have to serve 5 plus her time since arrest or something like that. Hate to think about her walking out of jail one day but that's so often the way it is in similar cases.

I'm very interested to see what Martinez is going to do with this last witness for the defense. She is very articulate, credentialed, SMART, and engaging. If he pummels her like he does the other witnesses, the jury will not like it.

Haven't see this one yet. I just wish the whole thing was over with already and the witch was convicted.

I think that's why he's not objecting hardly at all and is very soft-toned when he does. He's a pretty smart guy - I think he will handle her well and bring out the facts that all of the information from Arias about partner-domestic abuse is heresay as to Alexander's actions and, while I wouldn't put up with it, much of the name-calling and yucky things Travis Alexander said in text, VM ? or emails ? seemed related to their sex-game fantasy talk, from what I could glean from hit or miss watching. I heard that from one of those lawyers on HLN and he seemed to link it to 50 Shades of Grey-type stuff that some women apparently like or at least allow and that it is popular with many women.

Anyway, the LENGTHY seminar in domestic-abuse issues that expert witness is giving us is boring to me as most people in today's world are informed as to the depths of its horrors but it is important that Martinez makes certain the jury understands there really is every chance that Arias displayed a good deal of that type of behavior toward Alexander, per previous testimony and evidence and his friends testimony, by stalking him, controlling him with her sex, degrading him verbally and in writing and often showing up wherever he was, refusing to leave, driving 1000 miles to get to him and not wanting to let him go, his tires getting slashed and other statements Alexander revealed directly to his friends and family.

And hopefully he can get that witness to agree that any reasonably prudent layperson such as a jury contains, could conclude that Alexander didn't die until he indicated to Arias he was taking another women on a trip with him instead of Arias. And further, couldn't the manner and timing of his death show ultimate evidence of domestic-partner abuse, starting with stalking, controlling ways, premeditation and rage killing just as easily as it shows self-defense? And that there is no evidence Alexander did any of that to Arias except dirty language in VM, texts/email when "carrying on" about sex? Juan Martinez is a little firecracker but I think he well knows he can't brutalize this witness as he did the others. I'm hoping to see a JM with a scapel rather than a bludgeon on this witness and we'll have to wait and see if he can be a skilled surgeon in addition to a marauder.

I was disappointed in Juan yesterday; I think attacking her isn't the way to go. As you mention, he could use her as his expert witness, unless he’s already tried that and she just refuse to go there, but then that would make her look bad. They say that an attorney should never ask a question he doesn’t know the answer to, so I’m assuming he’s already asked her plenty of questions that we haven’t seen.

I honestly don't know how anyone can find that girl not guilty no matter what the prosecutor says/does to the people on the stand. His manner does not bother me at all..he is a prosecutor and that is his job. Anyone who buys that s**t about him being abusive is being ridiculous imho.

In the end, the real focus should be on that bitch and that is what she is. She did not just kill a man, she mutilated him and she would never be able to convince me it was not a rage thing. Guess that's why I would not make a good juror.

I agree, but all it takes is one juror to say it wasn't premeditated or that it was self defense. Just one, so he has to convince everyone of them that it was not self defense, and focus on the true victim. I really believe that this was premeditated and I want her to get the punishment she deserves.

Oh, I realize this. The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. To think she could walk the way others have because of a dumb ass juror is nauseating.

I hope she wouldn't walk away, but I really want her to get the death penalty. A few local news programs have done interviews with her cell mates and she's the most popular girl there. I think she'd be too happy in prison.

I use to be against the death penalty, I didn’t think it was a deterrent, but I beginning to believe that seeing women get away with murder isn’t good for our society either. If she’d shown any remorse, I would feel differently. I think that her dragging Travis’ name through the mud, shows her true lack of remorse. I could probaby have some compassion, if she told the truth, but I only feel sorry for the families involved.

Young and pretty shouldn't have anything to do with it. I'm so sure it was premeditated, and Juan needs to make that case. They showed the tapes of Jodi's mother being interviewed by police and she said she asked Jodi if she had done it, surprising that a mother would think that, but anyway, the mother said that Jodi said, no she wasn't in Phoenix and had the gas receipts to prove it. So that tells me Jodi was thinking about gas receipts to prove her innocence from the beginning. Your brain wouldn't immediately go there unless you had been thinking about it.

It shouldnt but it does. If the prosecutor in the Casey anthony trial would have went for life in prison maybe she would be in jail right now. Very few women have been put to death. She is overwhelmingly guilty though

I agree with you about Casey, I never did think they showed enough evidence that she purposely tried to kill her child, I thought it was an accident due to extreme negligence. I think the prosecutor thought he should go higher and it backfired. I hope this doesn't happen with Jodi. I believe in equal rights, and Jodi deserves to have the death penety as much as any guy before her.

I thought that about Casey, I don't think that about Jodi. She's has a sexual relationship with a fellow cellmate, she has a big fan base that believes in her innocence and the other prisoners love her. I think she’ll do very well in prison.

Hope that her cellmate does not make her jealous and/or angry. :eek::eek: I would sleep with one eye open.
