Just heard Nancy Grace say there will be no re-cross examination of Jody Arias by the prosecution. I was certain I'd heard that on HLN and now Nancy Grace has said it. But she said there is hope because of the 100 Jury questions waiting for her!

Wow, that part of his blog you quoted was really a good read...what a thoughtful, insightful, introspective man...ya know? He really had some obvious depth to him - I love that in people. Just adds to the bitterness of his demise, bc it sounds like the world lost someone pretty special.
The axe murderer comment is so spooky in hindsight...we so often write things that our subconscious knows way more about than our conscious does. I bet this was written during that time when Jodi was stalking him and slashing his tires. It's like a precognition.

I agree that Jodi was undone by her obsession with him, and by the fact that she wasn't 'good enough' (in her mind). She artfully pretended to him that it was all good with her (not marrying etc) when in fact I think it drove her crazy...literally and figuratively.

My DH told me this this morning.....I can't believe they would have 100 questions!!....I'm beginning to think we have another Casey Anthony jury. Personally, I wouldn't have a single question.

I'm stunned these jurors could sit through all this testimony and still think they can get an honest answer from a pathological liar. I would be looking at the evidence not her stories.

Just her story about running down the hall to the closet to get the gun down from a shelf is a complete fabrication. She no way in hell would have made it that far with an out of control murderous maniac two steps behind her. He would have tackled her in the hall. No.....freaking .......way.

I am not stunned......just sit in any classroom and listen to the idiotic questions. Some people just ask for the sake of asking.

These questions clinch this imho. Why didn't she tell the truth from the start? Complicated??? How so? Because you are guilty?? Good grief, if she gets off I will never watch any more of these trials.

I missed much of the trial rundown last evening but did any juror ask Arias where she personally cleaned up and washed off all the blood after the slaughter? It's not a legally relavant factor or anything like that, but I'm just curious if she showered in the same stall she later dumped the body of her victim or used another bathroom in the house?

Yes, someone asked if she cleaned up, she said something about from the evidence, it looks like I did, but I don't remember doing it.

So she showered there at that house I guess! And I guess after you have butchered a person, cleaning their blood and tissue from your own body in that same house wouldn't be that much of a problem!!!!!! Yikes! How can a person get to that level of depravity?

After watchig some of the trial, I honestly think that she is a seriously unstable person... she shows NO remorse , no feelings, no anything if you ask me.. I would have no problem finding her GUILTY as charge.. she killed that man in cold blood..

Yep, another of her convenient memory lapses.

What I did find very interesting is that she admits to blackouts from drinking..that is a classic sign of alcoholism. Of course, the memory lapse from the murder has nothing to do with drinking. But...clearly she has some issues..I would guess personality disorder and she self medicates with alcohol.

I think she said, she only had two blackouts from alcohol, one when she was 15 and the other when she was around 22, I think she tried to make it sound like she overdrank only twice. I personally don’t see her as the type of person who needs to self-medicate, she doesn’t seem to think she has any problems; it’s everyone else with the problem. I also don’t think she has any memory lapses from the murder. They would ask her questions about the 29 stab wounds and want to know what the hell was she thinking, was she really still scared? Scared goes with self-defense, anger goes with premeditation, and I don’t think she wants to talk about it. These memory lapses, allow her to testify, and testifying helps humanize her to the jury, almost any talking at all will help the jury see her as a person and make it more difficult for them to choose the death penalty. In addition, with memory lapses, they can’t get her for perjury, and she doesn’t have to talk about the brutal aspects of the murder, which would probably certainly do her great harm.


I think Jodi told the truth once. :p When asked, Were you mad at Travis while you were stabbing him, she said, “ I don’t recall fear being a prominent I mean, I’m sorry, I don’t recall anger being a prominent . . .”


By the way, does anyone know what happened to the gun she bought for the camping trip? Is the prosecution saying that both her grandfather’s (stolen) gun and the gun she bought could have been the weapon?

Nancy, I haven't really paid any attention to the trial until last week and I wondered about the gun myself. I haven't heard any testimony of whose it was or where it is or the bullet(s) or anything. All I heard in my bit of listening last week was that her grandparents' gun was stolen very shortly B4 the murder. I didn't hear about the camping gun until now. Whose knife was it and all that, IDK either. On those talk shows at night, I've never seen them talk about much but the sex! They take every opportunity to broadcast that.

I know this - she was so dumb she couldn't even begin to plan or carry out a murder without leaving herself all over it!!! And then dumb enough to talk to police without any attorney, TV interviewers and anyone else in line to listen! She's one of the dumbest chicks I've ever seen on the planet and she's ruined that man's life, obviously, his family's and her own. And all for what? What did she gain by killing him? All she had to do was move on when he lost interest and she was home free. She's fairly articulate and could have maybe developed into someone useful had she chosen a better path with some purpose and been a lot less caught up in her "relationships".

I think the jurors questions aren't that helpful in that she gets them ahead of time and there will be no gotcha moments that way - she'll just say she doesn't remember because it was "too horrible". It's just wasting time and giving her more face time with them - not productive as far as I can tell.

My point is that social drinkers do not have blackouts. It is common for people with mental disorders abuse alcohol and/or drugs.....I am not saying that she "knows" she has a problem. Just saying that the drinking is but a symptom of an underlying issue...in her case a serious underlying issue.

I stand corrected. There is newer evidence that social drinkers can have blackouts when drinking. My statement was based upon thoughts from many years ago.

I just heard on HLN news channel that the prosecutor, Jose Martinez, would have another "go" at Arias. Earlier, I'd thought I had heard that guy that was anchoring say that Martinez would get to question her again. I am so confused! Why have I heard two other times on that same channel that there was no re-cross of a re-direct - the last time by Nancy Grace just yesterday?

Oh, I so hope that that is true and Martinez can have another chance to hone in on all this muck she's piled up on re-cross! I hope I hope I hope. And I hope if he gets that chance, he'll be skillful and make her look like the monster she really can be.

I heard that too, I was wondering if they meant to say, he chose not to redirect after the defense was through? Anyway, I thought someone said, he did have the option to question her again after the jurors questioned things. I look forward to hearing that, I get bored with her attorney's questioning.

I am down today with my hip and watching some of the trial. Her attorney's endless, infinite sex questions to keep her on the stand are killing me. I can only take a little bit of it and have to watch other things, especially when it gets icky. He sure knows to keep away from most everything about this case but the sex. That's all he wants to talk about. Dang, that guy knows how to put you to sleep!

It looked like a website thrown together one Saturday afternoon by a bored legal secretary while she was painting her toenails! And this is the guy that is representing you for murder one, Jodi Arias?!?!?!

Is this the type of lawyer you get when you do the prepaid legal? :p Apparently, Miss Jodi wanted to be her own attorney, and the judge allowed it, but after two days, she decided she needed help. I don’t even think she could convince herself she was telling the truth. I shouldn't laugh, until the verdict is in, I was so shocked by the Anthony trial, I don't think I wanted her to get death, just life without parole, but to walk, that about killed me, and even a lot of jurors said they knew she wasn't innocent, well darn, find something! With Jodi, I feel differently, I think she's a real threat to society, men, women, and children.

When in the world will they EVER get this awful self-indulgent, narcissistic drama queen off the stand!!! I want to see this trial move along and get to the deliberations. Now that, I would love to see!!!!!

Why can't we ever just once or twice get to see a jury deliberating? Nevermind. I know exactly what would happen and all the downsides but I wish they could do it either via just audio with altered voices or on video blur out the form of the jurors, etc., and make it so they couldn't get any glory or have anything to fear by doing that, I would love to see one at work on a high-interest trial from this side of the fence.

I think she would kill anybody that she's invested in to the degree that she was with this Travis - should they ever start to lose interest in her as Travis did. I think he appealed to her 50 Shades of Grey.

No wonder all this guy wants to question her about is all the sex!!! Where is he going asking her about all of her different sexual interactions today? He's lost me? Granted, I can't stay on the channel long enough to pick up on much so I guess that is holding me back but can't see what he's trying to do specifically, if anything, today? Wow, how in the world would you like to make your living defending accused pedophiles and rapists, etc.? That would take a stronger stomach than I've got!

Oh, I just read a precis of the crime story of the killing of Travis Alexander on Wikipedia and hadn't heard about her concocted story of the upside down and missing license plates on her rented car!!!!!!! And I found out the gun and knife were not recovered at the scene and no one knows their whereabouts - except Jodi Arias! I guess that part is foggy, like so much else about anything that would incriminate her enough for a murder one death penalty conviction.

Oh, ugh, I heard that there are more jury questions? Don't you think those jury questions for the most part sound pretty mocking in nature? And not much at all about the abuse she supposedly endured. I thought there would be more about how we could know she was ever abused. I think the most of those jurors are highly offended by her obvious lying right to their faces day after day as she sits on that stand. Thank goodness there is going to be a break in the trial until Wednesday! I'm sick of seeing her but want to find out how things are going.
