Thats totally Insane! .... Maybe you could explain to them about what a hypoallergenic dog is. That if it was allergies they were worried about that it wouldn't be an issue.

This comes down to a right way of saying something....and a wrong way. They obviously picked the wrong way. If Lovespandp (i'm sorry i dont know your name) was told in a nice way to remove her dog from the house because they were allergic, in a calm manor, I'm sure she would have. But when you yell in an UNCLASSY language its just plain RUDE!! If she's yelling nasty things when people are in the house...imagine what she's saying when it's just her and her fiance having an argument? And whats worse is that when people know they were wrong and cant even say I'm sorry!!

Lovespandp, you never took the high road in this situation. Feel proud for being the CLASSY one!

I'm confused, is the new girlfriend causing the problem since he never told you he was allergic before? I mean I can understand someone being allergic and asking you not to bring your dog, but the way he spoke to you showed no respect what-so-ever. I choose not to be around people like that, since its family that's so hard; we often have to make exceptions for family. I think your hubby should have a heart to heart with his brother and his brother owes you an apology. So sorry you and Peanut were treated that way. Just in case you don’t want to take the high road, send you BIL this picture of Peanut!

I completely understand what you're going through. It happened to Kaji and me. We ended up staying because it was Christmas, but Kaji spent the entire evening being shifted from lap to lap (me and my 2 brothers). Kaji was miserable because he wanted to stretch his legs inside the house by he couldn't. Worst part, the lady that didn't want me to bring my "whiny little thing" in the house gave him a Christmas hug. What a hypocrite!!!! (I had asked permission to bring him inside before going too. I got the ok but she apparently changed her mind and failed to tell me)

He has never been mean to me. Im pretty sure she complained to him and was a jerk to him he turned it on us! I hope he can apologize to me- I dont think I can get over it until he does!

I am proud of you Peanut's Mom. You did the right thing even if you wanted to claw your Brother and Sister-in Laws eyes out. It makes you wonder "why??????" are people so mean. There are many possibilities but most of the time it stems from insercurities and unhappiness in themselves!!!!
