Default Wow, i never!!!!!

I am so hurt and mad at the same time!!!!

It's DH's brother's birthday weekend. So he wanted everyone to go up to his house and do the egg hunt in the morning and go to some SKY HIGH place in the afternoon. Dh's side has 3 young newphes.

I usually don't take Pnut up with us bc A: his furture wife doesn't like dogs, and B: we left in the early morning so we would have been home early!

We Dh was like lets just bring him and we can bring his crate so Sean ( DH'S brother) doesnt get mad. I said ok that sounds fine... I WAS WRONG!

Well we get there and they were upstairs geting ready, we were downstairs stuffing eggs with candy with their room mate Corey-

Well Pnut heard them and ran upstaris, and all I heard was " GET THAT F-ING DOG OUT OF MY HOUSE"

Pnut ran down to me and I picked him up, then I sat down and Sean came down, he looked so mad! I couldnt understand what was going on, Pnut has been there before and it was never an issue before!

Sean says " get that dog out of my F-ING HOUSE! Why did you being him you know I am allergic!! I said well his an hypoallergenic dog! He said again Get that dog out of my F-ing house!

So we left- 3 mins later her texts Tom and says Come back dont be a jerk! His fiance texted me with " I am apparently a Bitc$ can you come back Sean is upset!

I was like what the hell they are the ones that were so rude to us, I have NEVER and would never treat anyone like that!!!

Dh told me lets just go back- I told him I dont feel comfortable now, and I am really upset, I am obviously not wanted there- If they cared for me they would care for my dog!

I dont know how he cond me to go back, but his newphews wanted to see him so Peanut and I sat in the backyard, took a walk and played in the grass... I didnt say a word to them.

Even when we got there they didnt even say sorry to us!! Sean came up to me and was like dont be a jerk its my Bday!! I just looked at him in shock! His fiance didnt come say sorry either!! I couldnt wait to get out of there!! The next time they invite us up there I am not going! You are not going to treat me like that!!

Its one thing not to like a dog, but its another to be so rude to someone!! All he had to say is Hey can you take Pnut outside... He didnt have to be the way he was!!!

Even Dh's Mom was like come inside, * all this happened before anyone was there* I said Pnut isnt allowed in the house, she said since when? So I dont know what the heck happened, but I can tell you this, I wont be going there in a while! It will take some time for me to get over this!

Wow! I am so sorry you and P-nut was treated that way. It was beyond rude!! Personally, I would not have gone back and it would have been my last trip. There are better ways he could have handled the situation. I hope your Easter gets better.

I'm so sorry that happened. I don't know how I would react if I were in a similar situation, but I'm sure I would feel hurt and offended, and like you, uncomfortable going back.

Thanks- I had to talk about it with people who would understand, yes Dh understands, but he was kinda in a pickle.. I see where he was coming from. DH always tries to do the right thing and his nephews really wanted to see him and hang out so I agreed on that. DH and I were kinda fighting, and he was like just stop lets just act like the bigger person and thats what we did. I still have yet to get an apology-

I still cant bellieve thats what happend... it wasnt like his brother, like I said Pnut has been there before and he has never acted like that.. He has asked me to not let Pnut run around but thats to the extent.

Thank you- it was hard. I had to put it past me for a second, I had to put his nephews in front of them-

They have to live with how they treated me, I wasnt in the wrong and I did my best to be a good person on top of it- Like I said you dont have to like my dog, but you have to respect me!!

Thankfully DH's sister was there, and we get along great. She was 100% agreeing with me so that felt good to have her support!

Well DH stepped in and said Pnut is on her lap, relax a little, then he ranted and raved some more and Dh got fed up and we left.

Thanks, its crazy I look at Peanut and think how can someone not like you, you are just so cute I could never!! Even if I didnt like dogs, I think I would break on his little face!

I guess I am shallow, selfish, and immature....I would have told them, dont worry, I will take my f- ing dog and leave immediately and you dont EVER have to worry about my f-ing dog setting foot in this f-ing house again!!! Then, I would have told DH ( who I would have been mad at for letting poeple talk to me that way, ESPECIALLY when it was HIS idea to take P-nut), "You stay and have a great time with your brother, I have been told to get my f-ing dog out so, bye! Let me know when you are ready for me to come pick you up!" I do not let people talk to me like that, period!!

I know, you are right.. I honestly should have, and would have loved to.. But it is what it is.. I didnt want that to ruin our time.. I dont know maybe I am just a softy- I have yelled at Sean before. I did stand for my ground one time LOL

Sean was over here on the couch, Pnut jumped up on the couch and walked over his leg, Sean said " Get your dog off me" I looked and I said" this is HIS couch, if you dont want him walking over you on HIS couch you best get off of it... He didnt say anything-

So it is done and over with, they wont have to deal with me nor my dog again, cuz I wont be going back!

I think most people would understand your feelings. No matter what set him off his reaction was extreme. I am glad your DH cared about your nephews feelings. If they witnessed the outburst they were probably already upset and if he did not return they would have been hurt more.

All right.. gonna play devils advocate here.. I have allergies and feel so fortunate to still be able to have yorkies but not everyone is so lucky. It really depends on what you are actually allergic too and yorkies still have dander. It is miserable to have to suffer with allergies and I'm highly allergic to cats and have to say that I would be upset if someone brought a cat to my house especially on my birthday. When we go to my inlaws we always ask if we can bring a dog or dogs and would never just bring them without asking first and they always say yes and they have 2 small dogs that get along great with ours. When we have get togethers at our house, we invite their puppies. I do think your inlaws were a bit extreme but I once had one of my cousins and her husband and kids come and spend a week at my house and without asking (and we did not have a dog at that time) they brought their small dog who insisted on sneaking upstairs and pooping in my bedroom and we were not happy with that but never said anything either. I just think that some people are not as in love with our dogs as we are and really that is their loss but maybe it's just a good idea to leave pnut at home for now....

Well thankfully they weren't there yet.. So that was good! If it wasnt for them we would have left, it was hard to go back, but it was harder just to leave them BC of Sean.. They were innocent in this and we didnt want it to affect our time with the boys...

You know what I understand... BUT we have taken Pnut there before INSIDE, and it was never an issue... ALL of a sudden something happened.. Not sure what, but Amy Dh's sister told me they have been grouchy lately so I am not sure maybe they are stressed about the wedding who knows. whatever it is it is not an excuse to treat someone like that. all he had to say is hey can you take Pnut outside.. and I would been fine with it
