When we go to my inlaws we always ask if we can bring a dog or dogs and would never just bring them without asking first and they always say yes and they have 2 small dogs that get along great with ours. When we have get togethers at our house, we invite their puppies. I do think your inlaws were a bit extreme but I once had one of my cousins and her husband and kids come and spend a week at my house and without asking (and we did not have a dog at that time) they brought their small dog who insisted on sneaking upstairs and pooping in my bedroom and we were not happy with that but never said anything either. I just think that some people are not as in love with our dogs as we are and really that is their loss but maybe it's just a good idea to leave pnut at home for now....
This comes down to a right way of saying something....and a wrong way. They obviously picked the wrong way. If Lovespandp (i'm sorry i dont know your name) was told in a nice way to remove her dog from the house because they were allergic, in a calm manor, I'm sure she would have. But when you yell in an UNCLASSY language its just plain RUDE!! If she's yelling nasty things when people are in the house...imagine what she's saying when it's just her and her fiance having an argument? And whats worse is that when people know they were wrong and cant even say I'm sorry!!

Lovespandp, you never took the high road in this situation. Feel proud for being the CLASSY one!
