You and Bitsy are so right. Sometimes we forget as Christians that we are to forgive all and not judge. But it is really hard to do sometimes. I have had to pray many many times for Jesus to help me to do just this very thing. I believe 100% that God is in control. I also believe everything happens for a reason, even if we don't understand it. If she is guilty, God will determine that. Thanks for reminding us of our Christian values.

| ![]() It's hard to come to terms with it all because it is so wrong on so many levels. So many lawyers and prosecutors today have said that today, in this CSI world, everyone thinks there is a smoking gun; a gotcha moment. These people wait for the CSI or SVU hoopla to occur, and when it does not they are at a loss. I really believe that is what the jury did, waited for the hoopla and fanfare and were confused when that didn't happen...and I also believe that they didn't understand the legal definition of reasonable doubt. It saddens me that this woman could lie, not come forward and say her daughter went missing, only came forward once her mother got involved and called the police, lied about everything, and deliberately got in the way with her lies when the police were finally searching for Caylee, and changed her story from "the nanny did it" to "she drowned in the pool", and these jurors didn't think anything was wrong with that. The jury could have forced a mistrial allowing the prosecution a second chance to get their stuff together. No...they had to acquit her wrongly.

| ![]() I am still in shock over this all. But I have a feeling this is not the end of it. They may not be able to try Casey again on this, but what about other members of the family, or other people??? I just feel there is more coming. RIP sweet Caylee ![]()

The thing that has got me through the day is that Caylee is with Jesus. He and the angels are taking care of her. God is the ultimate judge. He is always just and fair, unlike all of us. I trust Him to judge Casey, and me, and all of us. I'll have to think of something nice to do in memory of Caylee. To let some good come from this awful situation. That is something that Caylee and God would want.

I do agree with both of you. All we as Christians can do now is pray for her soul because at this point it's prob headed to a very bad place. Maybe she will repent or already has who really knows. I just wish that she would have gotten punished. | ||

Justice is not always just. That is another thing that has been hard for me to accept. I just find it hard to believe in a system where this can happen.

Our house was broke into 3 years ago. They took over $40,000 of our stuff. We lost so much. I have worked since I was 13 years old only to have them take it all. 3 years has passed and not so much as a clue to who did it. I have spent 2 1/2 years hating them. The only thing that has helped me to get through is pray. I have prayed to God nightly to help me get past the bitterness. I have come to the understanding that although they will not be punished here they will answer for what they have done to my God. As will this dear woman.

I am still really upset about this. I keep saying what you said though. It is a comfort to know that God is just and He will judge us all with his perfect wisdom. I just have to hand it to him. It upsets me too much when I think on it (the way I am right now! I am still seething!!!!!)

| ![]() People always pay for wrong doing. We may not see it but I believe they pay. I totally believe in karma. In Casey's case, I believe in time we will see the price she will pay. Let us not forget that she stole from her friend and also from her mother. This girl is not going to change now...this trial just reinforced in her mind that she can get away with anything. I believe she will end up just like OJ...doing time for something else. Time.....

| ![]() I actually hope that I get called for jury duty. I feel that I could bring common sense and intelligence to the courtroom.

Thank you for the kind words. It wasn't so much me or my DH but what our kids went through. It took 2 1/2 years before my youngest would sleep in his own room. It scared him so much. Then they took my oldest son's medication. He has one for blood pressure. And of course insurance gave us trouble trying to get it refilled. It is a sad thing for anyone to go through. I can honestly say I don't think my children will ever steal from someone. They know how it feels.

Thanks. I couldn't even go to the bathroom by myself that night. I was scared to death. But my DH has since installed Fort Knox (lol) alarm system and taught me how to shoot a pistol like no ones business. I can make a nice round of shots on a target. I tell everyone I know that I am now protected by the alarm and Smith and Wesson! ![]()
