I dont know how often you watch the show but Jon has always maintained he has a relationship with his mother, however Kate on the other hand can disregard people like most of us do our trash... her parents cared for the twins the entire time she was pregnant with the tups and then she just threw them away like garbage, there is proof of that as they live 2 miles down the street and YOU NEVER see them, no matter what these are these childrens grandparents.... her " best friend " Beth the one she couldnt live with out??? Auntie Jodi & Uncle Kevin are gone , no grandparents because Kate got a hair across her arse!! That is a very poor lesson for children to learn.....I wouldnt let my neighboor speak to me the way Kate speaks to Jon let alone my WIFE.. I cant stand her!!

I was thinking all of the same things. In one of the beginning episodes, Kate said that her and her parents didn't get along and that is the way it is. So sad. But as for Nana the lady who was always there to help, and all of the other helpers from the early days. They are all gone. All you see now are the hired helpers. And they are different every time.
The stress has gotten so heavy, that now Kate is even taken to spanking Leiha, in front of the cameras, and then just walking away, leaving Cara and Maddie to deal with her.
This woman needs counciling now!!!

All I can say is WOW seriously WOW... those poor poor kids in thier very short lives they have lost Nana , Aunite Jodi, Beth ( Kates best friend who co authored the book) , Uncle Kevin, Johns dad, but he passed away.. Kates parents who the older girls were very very close to at one time. And now Daddy, somehow I get the feeling Kate will alienate the children from him as well, and John being he was married sooo very young will probally go out and sew his wild oats for a while.....Poor kids

I agree and it always seems to be more about her than her family. I've only watched it off and on for the past year and it didn't take me long to see how overbearing she is.

I haven't watched any of the new shows, and will not watch future shows. I refuse to take part in the destruction of these babies mental health. And, that is exactly what this show is doing for them. Unfortunately for the children, there will be life-long ramifications because of Kate's greed.

You're right because the more people watch the higher the ratings. I won't be watching tomorrow night's episode because that's all you'll hear for weeks.

TLC (as well as most others) likes to hype up the "big" announcements , so while it could be something big it usually isn't , just enough to get you to keep watching. I'm thinking counciling, maybe? Whatever it is , I hope it makes life calm for them all.

Kate is just way to full of herself. A quote from Kate..."It's MINE ALL MINE as far as the eye can see." .... That says ALOT about her.

I have only watched this show a couple of times because dh's aunt thinks it's just awesome. I didn't care for it. These shows drive me nuts. I have 6 kids. Dh and I take care of our kids on our own. We don't hire anyone to come in. We've never had any help offered, would never dream of it to begin with!

What turned me off is how she talks about how she's so proud that they have raised their children themselves. Then, when that "octo mom" story came out, she was on Oprah and basically said that woman is crazy. That it takes a MINIMUM of 40 people a week to help her care for her children. I don't see how nobody caught that. Maybe they did... I don't know... I haven't kept up with anything since I saw that.
