Jon and Kate Plus 8.What is going on??

It's sad but true, that kids live what they learn. And they are learning what? That it's OK to subject your family to anything for money???
I just read yesterday that Jon has been looking for apartments in NYC. One was 3,200 a month and people are wondering how he can afford that? Or because of a possible divorce, he needs a big place when he has the kids? Hmmmm maybe TLC is footing that bill too!!

Even if the show was cancelled or Kate and Jon wanted out, they are ruined. No matter what, they will never have their freedom again. They will still be known everywhere and followed by our lovely tabloids. They lost it all for money. but the fool that I am, I watch it

I would do the same and every time I've watched I would tell my dh how ugly it is.

Did anyone see GMA today? I caught the last bit of it and yesterday Jon was outside the gate signng autographs. Someone ask where Kate was and his reply was that he had no idea.

I don't understand though, how Jon can say things like he doesn't want such a high profile life, he wants privacy etc etc but yet he doesn't seem to mind benefitting from all the profits his kids are making them--expensive apts, fancy cars, the motorcycle he built, all the benefits that he enjoys.. Whatever!

Honestly they are both pathetic. He is a real piece of work. In his interview he says "I have to do what is right for me" then he realizes he needs to add the children. You know he is just pathetic and I have no respect for him. No matter what type of a shrew she was his marriage was worth more than what he put into it. He could easily have opened his mouth and grown a pair of balls and they could have sought out counseling.

The second thing he said was that he missed out on a lot and he is only 32 and can start that next chapter. How hideous is that to say. He should have thought that he needed to sow wild oats before he got married etc. Now we have these 8 innocent children in the middle of this whole mess.

They both forgot what was important..their vows and their family that they decided to make. She let making money get to her head but honestly he never seemed like a man with much ambition to me.

If you feel like less of a man then get your self a job and contribute to your household. Doing that show was a blessing. Who else gets to be home and watch their children grow.

If he is not happy about the show then you shouldn't be willy nilly spending the money you earn from it. It should be put into trust for your children.

I am so sad and disgusted right now. Those children deserve better. He checked out of his marriage way before this split.

I in no way condone the way she got on him but at the same time it's hard enough raising 8 children to have to add a lazy husband that was happy to let you run the show because it meant less work for him.

If John were my brother I would have taken a bat to him. How do you profess to love your children when your actions just indicate the exact opposite. His older girls have friends who I am sure their mammas read tabloids. When things started getting hinky he had to know that information would trickle back and hurt his girls. He should have just seperated from Kate instead of acting like some hormonal teenager and letting that all get out where his girls would find out.

If I were Kate I would have whipped her a$$. No matter what problems a marriage is having you never ever get in the middle of that. They had children. If Kate were my sister you best to be sure I would be looking for that girl to give her the beating of a life time. If she were interested in him she should have acted like a smart woman and said you know what when your a single man come and see me but in the interim I will not be a homewrecker. She knew the man was a father with 8 children. God is going to punish her for her nastiness. Let's see how long she will be interested in him when he is making next to nothing and paying child support out the yang. I would take his a$$ to the cleaners because his infidelity is easily documented.

I feel bad for her. No matter how bad things were they could have gotten counseling, he could have opened his mouth and stepped up like a man. They could have and should have tried to fix their marriage and honor those vows before ever stepping outside of that. No matter what he never should have treated her that way and wrecked his family like that. Kate could be called a lot of things but no woman or man should be disrespected and treated like that. Cheating is not the answer to anything.

I hope he lives to regret his stupid decision and see what he gave up to sow his wild oats and live this youth that he feels he missed.

She is a strong woman and will move on from this whole mess and make the best of things. She will easily find someone and let's see how he likes it when he sees that she has moved on.

The biggest loser in all of this are those beautiful children.

She wasn't in public..the sad thing is that she was on her private property. The reporters have honestly done their damndest to help this family fall apart. I know they have to make a living but I am so disgusted and sickened by the way that they just kept on and kept on harrassing this family.

I do not agree with their decision to divorce but I also don't think it is our (the general public) place to tell them what they should do. Like they mentioned in tonight's episode, there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that we are not seeing. I was happy to hear that they have decided to keep the children in the same house and Jon and Kate will take turns living there. While it won't be easy by any means, having a stable place to live will make the process *easier*.

I think the media needs to lay off of them for awhile, give them their space and let them work out their problems in private.

Bizzymammabee, I agree with EVERYTHING you've said. When people stop insulting the way she looks, maybe they could realize these are REAL people going through a REAL crisis. I don't find it funny or amusing. It's the demise of a marriage and a family.
Kate is a mom and she acts like a mom. I was spanked by my mom too, and there were only two of us to keep in line. It is disgusting how every move she makes is caught on tape and given a bad spin.
My heart is breaking for the children and Kate. Jon made a decision when he was 23 to be with Kate for the rest of his life. He can't say it all happened so fast... he CHOSE for it to happen so fast. He wants out, he's not cooperating, he's not communicating, he wouldn't even try. No matter how he feels Kate treated him, no matter if he felt angry and needed to stand up for himself, CHEATING IS NEVER THE ANSWER. When everyone else is saying "good for Jon", I still find him despicable.

Ok...we had the Orange County motorcycle guys, the cake place in Baltimore, and Emeril came and cooked...where's Dr. Phil...that's about the only crazy thing that's not happen...or will Jon check in with Dr. Drew for a drinking problem. Sadly we sat and watched as another family went down the drain. One of the things that made the show was the happy times they all had together..now it's hurts to watch
