Luvs Lulu Donating Member | We had a super bowl get together last night and we had our friends with their kids. So we had (2) four olds, (1) twelve year old, (1) 14 year old, (1) 3 year old, (1) 2 year old and (1) 9 year old. My house was a zoo and a wreck by the time all was said and done. Thank god I had put the kids all to play in the basement the mess was contained. But I have to tell you if I had 6 children ages 2-7 then add 8 more babies I would probably go play in traffic. I can't see doing it. The whole community will have to come in and take turns helping her. I am dying to finish my bachelors and can't afford to do it at this time. Nice that she can work on a higher degree and be supported and have all her children supported so she can be a career student.

YT 2000 Club Member | I was hospitalized for pe term labor with my last son from week 20 to 28 weeks when he was born,I had a lot of complications with him. Then he was in the NICU from April 28, till June 13 in 1997. I know first hand what a costly medical bill just for me and ONE pre term baby was, and we thankfully had great Insurance that paid for our care that we both needed. I can only Imagine what her medical bills are going to add up to! This lady was most likely in the hospital for some time before she gave birth to her 8 babies, with the risk of caring that many babies at once involves, you know she was being watched closely. So add that into the equation too!

| Just playing devil's advocate... (you all already know I think she belongs in the looney bin...) Would you rather she gets $2 Million from Oprah or from us, the taxpayers? I'd rather have Oprah pay her, and nope, I sure won't be watching........

| I'd actually LOVE to watch that Oprah show just to see what she says and see what her "justification" is for having all of those kids.

| If she is going to be paid for any of her story, they should insist that the checks be made out for the hopsital bills and NICU and such before she gets a dime for anything! someone said that they heard her bills are going to be about $3 mil. At least that is a start of her paying for this insanity.

| doesn't anyone think $3M is a little outrageous too? I mean I know health care is expensive, but its WAY more than it should be. I know there are circumstances here and that those babies need a lot of care and will be in the hospital for awhile.. but $3M?? Even in this economy everyone still wants their piece of the pie! The pie has run out of slices!
