| ![]() I wonder what the issues are that people think this child will have? Seems to me this child will learn to accept everyone for who they are. ![]() |

| ![]() i am actually watching the recorded oprah now. I have mixed feelings. they really seem to love each other. the "wife" didnt have the baby because of a prior hysterectomy. I would think that she most likely would have if not for that. She has two adult daughters who are supportive. I am anxious to see tomorrow's show about the puppy mills. i am sure i will be watching thru my fingers covering my eyes. The only good thing about it HOPEFULLY will awaken the world to what happens to those poor pup and people will refuse to buy puppy mill pups ![]() |

That being said "pregnant man" just might be a good dad. And I guess to me that's important. JMO. ![]()

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ![]() The thing is, the child probably won't care as long as it is something that is talked about and not just flung on them one day, "Oh, you're dad's a woman." If the baby is brought up knowing what her dad's story is, then she probably won't care. Its the same with kids who grow up in households where the parents are same sex. If they're around that kind of thing since birth and its talked about, then they probably won't think its weird. It all depends on how the kid finds out. If they just tell her one day, then yeah she'll probably be kind of screwed up. But if she is brought up knowing about the whole thing, then its different. Have you guys read "A Child Called It?" That is something to complain about. a loving pair of parents having a child and raising it with love is NOT something to complain about. I don't agree with publicising it for a scientific discovery, because it isn't one. But I also don't agree with people "ewwwing" that he married a woman. If you don't agree with same-sex marriage, that's your personal opinion and I'll respect it. But please, don't feel the need to say things like "ew" and "nasty." I hear enough of that nonsense in my high school whenever the word "gay" is mentioned. ![]() This is my opinion, of course. But I really wish society was more open minded. If anything will screw up the kid, its the fact that society is not tolerant of ANYONE who is "different."

| ![]() A baby is such a wonderful blessing and there are so many out there that aren't loved or are raised by parents that teach them to belive only one way is right and only their type of people are good. A baby born in to a loving open minded family that learns to love EVERYONE regardless of their prefrences or exterior is an asset to the world. JMO ![]()

| ![]() I watched it. I will be honest, before I saw it I was a little icked out, but there were so many rumors etc. flying around I didn't really know what to expect. Now that I have seen it, I think they will be loving parents and after all, that is what is important. I really don't get why they are saying he is a man though. He has taken testosterone which enlarged the clitoris into a small penis, but I don't think there was any surgery there and I believe he still has a vagina????? Is that right?? He has been off of testosterone for 2 years and hormones are back to female now, so how is that a man having a baby? I really feel so much more open and less judgemental now that I have seen it, I am just a bit confused.

![]() ![]() ![]() I saw this online yesterday and started reading forums/articles on this. People really need to start being a little more open-minded. This is not the 50's, its the 21st century and we need to start embracing that. Just because someone doesn't fit into your little box of what a perfect "marriage/family" is, doesnt mean its wrong or "gross" or "Icky". Seriously, when you talk about diverse families (same sex, trans-gender, etc.) this is about as normal as you get. A mother and a father having a baby girl. It really saddens me that our world is so closed-minded. There wouldn't be so much hatred and war in the world if people would just accept others the way they are. That is all I'm going to say because this thread saddens me deeply and I'm going to walk away.
