I must have known this somehow - lol Quote:
No, he's not the best singer. But I just picture him coming to my house to take my daughter out on a date with his hands stuffed in his pockets shrugging at every question. So cute. |

OMG, look at this. Even Obama Barack Obama will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night to deliver the Top 10 "Surprising Facts About Barack Obama." From the home office in Wahoo, Nebraska: 10. My first act as President will be to stop the fighting between Lauren and Heidi on “The Hills.” 9. In the Illinois primary, I accidentally voted for Kucinich. 8. When I tell my kids to clean their room, I finish with, “I’m Barack Obama and I approved this message.” 7. Throughout high school, I was consistently voted “Barackiest.” 6. Earlier today I bowled a 39. 5. I have cancelled all my appearances the day the “Sex and the City” movie opens. 4. It’s the birthplace of Fred Astaire. (Sorry, that’s a surprising fact about Omaha) 3. We are tirelessly working to get the endorsement of Kentucky Derby favorite Colonel John. 2. This has nothing to do with the Top Ten, but what the heck is up with Paula Abdul? 1. I have not slept since October. |

I have always liked his voice so well and even though he won't win, he will have a wonderful life. |
I happen to really like Jason's voice...some will think I am tone deaf, I am sure:rolleyes:...I will admit that Jason's calmness and his attitude that he doesn't really care does bug me sometimes. But maybe with all the things that is going on in this country concerning GOD being taken out of everything that maybe this will be a wakeup call that America does care and sometimes its not all about singing its about being a good person, a good heart and keeping whats important in life into perspective that Jason should be the next American Idol. What a good example of that. I know I know this is a singing contest but then they really should not have named it American Idol. In times like this American Idol seems to have more meaning than who Americans vote for......jmo....Have a great day everyone.. |
I think it is that calmness is what I love about him. American Idol is not the end all to Jason, he can take it or leave it. There are more important things in life for Jason. He is precious and we can leave alot from this young man. $$$ seems to be God to so many today and they wonder why they are so unhappy but he seems to already found what is important in life. JMO |
I meant we can learn alot from this young man. sorry. |
Getting off the "Jason Topic" (sorry).....but our local news said that one Idol was ready to go home and said "he"....so who could it be and why? I didn't watch the news today, but I will try to watch it tonight....has anyone else heard what this was about? I'm just curious! |

Staying with Cook I've been predicting David Cook since the very beginning. He's both polished and gritty. More musician than D.A. and just as good a vocalist. I think he will win. I believe he should win. Go Yorkie Talk |

Getting back on the Jason thing for a minute (sorry), I'm not saying he isn't a good person. I've read some interviews and stuff from him, and he sounds like one of the sweetest people in the world. I'm sure he's a WONDERFUL person. But, like I've been saying in ever conversation I've had about American Idol, personality, looks, etc., aren't what this contest is about. Maybe it should be, because its called "American Idol" which would mean the Idol of America. But its a singing competition, people should be in it based on how they sing, not what kind of life they live away from the stage. Not saying that a murderer should be on stage or something lol, but Jason being a good person isn't a reason for him to still be on the show. I'm not trying to offend anyone (especially Jason) with this, because I'd be a fan of him as a PERSON, but I don't think he should still be there because I don't think he's the best singer. And that doesn't mean I don't think he's a GOOD singer, cause I certainly do. But I don't think he's one of the top 4 singers in the country, either. I'll stop rambling about it now haha. I'd be happy with either David winning. Who do you guys think is going to go this week? |

We say yes to David A. and a big NO to Jason. Jason really struck out the last two weeks as he did not know anything about Andrew Lloyd Weber and Neil Diamond. We feel that he showed his true colors and is not a true musician. |

I wonder if the going home thing is more about someone getting anxious about doing a hometown visit like they do for the finalist - can't remember when they usually do that -- is it like when 3 are left or 4? |

What I want to happen won't this week.....so maybe I won't watch. Ha, don't bet on that. |
Okay....it was nothing (in regards to the post I made earlier)..... It was an interview that ET did and it was Jason....he just commented on, "if I get the votes to stay, that is great, but if not, that is okay because I am kind of ready to go home anyway". So, the news person built that little segment up just a tad! Because when I heard that preview (of the news), I couldn't figure out which of the three guys wanted to "go home"! |
