I Really want him to win; I think he is fabulous, especially for such a young kid, I just think they will go with the more experienced guy.

They are looking for someone fresh and contemporary. IMO, David C. is kind of stuck, doing best in one genera. David A. seems to nail it no matter what he sings. I think the gal has a shot, she has really shown some star quality this week. My bets are on my man David A.

anyone going to go see the Idols on Tour? They aren't coming anywhere near me this year. Tickets go on sale next week - May 17 - here's where they are going as of right now American Idols Live Tour 2008

I go to the live Idol tour every year and it is always the BEST concert. They are excellent live!! I would recomend anyone go! It is SO WORTH the ticket price and ANY seat is a good seat. I personally dont get seats up close. Cuz all the teeny bopper kids are standing and dancing and you have to stand the whole time. I get tix in the middle of the seating areas.

I'm with you... He is a true artist... I think that he is brilliant and I just don't see the same level of artistry in what David A. does... My mom is for David A. (she is 90) and so is my sister (she is 63), so it might be that he can pull it off as he has the tweens and the older crowd... but I hope that David C. wins!

Well I'll be 76 this month and I have been for David C. since the first night this started. I hope he wins but if one of the other two wins I would be happy too I guess:)

awwww thanks, I used to hide the fact but at this point Crystal and I are getting pretty proud of our ages. (Crystal will be 14 in June) We have alot in common.

My mom just called me - she has gone very early to make sure she gets to see Syesha at the Ringling Museum this afternoon The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art-Sarasota-Bradenton-Tampa-Florida

She performs at 3:30 eastern - My mom said that there has already been a parade for Syesha and then she is to be at her high school and then they are flying her to Ringling by helicopter and then tonight, Syesha will go up to Tampa and sing the National Anthem before the baseball game

I think, her high school is in Bradenton - so I don't know if she lived in that town/suburb outside Sarasota or if she just chose to go there because it was such an arts school.

My mom says that all of Sarasota is so excited because the city hopes that the beauty of the area is shown off for all to see on national TV

I like David A. but I just can't see myself buying an album of his. I think David C. will win this, though I don't like him as much as many people seem to. He has made very smart choices throughout this competition. I like how Syesha has grown. I would like to see her and David C. in the final two.

I think this is an excellent assessment. David A has the voice of an angel. Syesha belongs on broadway, and David c would be commercial enough to make records.

At this point, it starts to be sort of a math problem (where is Megan?). The fans of the person last voted out shift somewhere unless they stop voting. That's a lot of votes. Where would the greatest percentage of Jason's fans go? There's enough new votes when it gets down to this point to knock a previous favorite out if the majority of new votes swing in one direction. But no fear - I see Jason fans going with David C. :)

I don't see Jason fans going with David C. I feel that David C is basically totally opposite of Jason. Jason was softer, more soulful and David C is a "harder" rocker kind of person. I see them going with David A.

According to the Deseret News website thing, that whole thing wasn't true. Or at least, not entirely true. Apperantly, at this stage in the competition, vocal coaches, parents, etc., aren't allowed backstage during the rehearsals.

and I don't think it will really make a difference because most people knew what a weirdo his father was anyway.

Personally I don't know if Jason's fans will vote at all, considering the way he was harshly criticized during his last performance by Simon. I mean, geez, as if he didn't get enough when he was standing on the stage, Simon had to rip him again after David A.'s performance, with the "You could've whistled a tune and it would've been better than the last performance." Totally uncalled for. :thumbdown:thumbdown

I for one will no longer be voting, I may not even watch anymore. I know of a few people who feel the same way, not all Jason fans. One of them my hubby, who has been a David C. fan since the beginning, but because of Jason's treatment last week, he said he is not going to watch anymore.

While I do agree that Jason and David C are in some ways "opposite", I do think the same sort of people like both. While the music wasn't the same, I think a lot of people were David C (#1) and Jason (#2) fans. I'm not sure I see the college age crowd that would support Jason turning to young David A. But then this brings up the point that you don't like, Megan, :) about it not being JUST a singing competition. American Idol also includes "who do you identify with?".

I really agree. I think that it really was uncalled for. I've seen worse contestants that late in the game that weren't bashed so badly. I really think that Jason's laid back personality really grated on Randy and Simon. I don't think they felt he took it seriously enough (whether he did or not, I don't know how anyone knows; but I think it bugged 'em that he wasn't so intense).

I'm not a David Cook fan -- he had me going a couple of weeks - but I have not been impressed recently.

I think Syesha on the other hand has stepped up her game -- I think she will make a name for herself. Would love to see herself in the finals.

But I'm realistic and do believe it will be the 2 Davids and David A is definitely my favorite and the one I want to see win

Sorry to not let go of Jason yet .... ;) ........ but I just saw his "swan song" on Idol Access or Access on Idol (or whatever it's called). The booted ones that I've seen on there seem really uncomfortable singing there. All they have is a piano and no audience. They seem to really struggle. Brooke was awful. But Jason sang Daydream, and I thought he did better than the others. Seemed like he didn't care if no one was there, and he was just happy to be singing without all the hoopla again. I think he's relieved.
