Wow after last night's performances, that was a bit of a shocker. Way to go David Cook fans. You made the boy proud. They both deserved it I was just hoping that David A would win because I knew that David C didn't need to win. Mind you David Archuletta has his fans too. He will be the new George Michaels, his voice is as pure as his. Is Andrew the brother with the brain cancer? Congrats to all the David C fans. My 10 year old got her wish too. |

:clapsmile Congratulations to David Cook! :clapsmile As far as the singing goes, I'd say that he and David A. were fairly equal, just very different song types. But besides having a great singing voice,the one thing that impressed me all through the season with David Cook was how truely nice and down to earth he seems to be. Everytime the judges (or anyone) praised him for a song he sang he always seemed genuinely gracious with that little bow of his head and the folded hands. Love that quality in a person. |
I think this will be my post #4000 and I dedicate it to DC. :D That was a good show. And I'd like to go on record that DC won by only 12 million votes - SIX of which were MINE!!! :p The first time I'd ever voted for AI, but I didn't like him getting thrown under the bus last night. My daughter hasn't watched at all, but is home from college and watched last night and immediately jumped on the DC bandwagon. Although tonight, we had to give props to Archie during "Apologize". He did better than the artist live. |

I liked Michael Johns. I don't think we have heard the last of him. He has a wonderful voice, and a sharp looking guy! Can't wait to see what he will do next. :thumbup: |

I was shocked when they kicked him off, but then I thought, it's because I really liked him and thought he was good! But like we already said, Michael Johns is not done yet. We will hear from him again.:D :D :D |
Congrats to David Cook and all his fans ;) He won't earn any of my money, but he is a really nice guy. Seems to be one of those that won't be changed much by fame - I pray that is true for both the Davids. The name they read hasn't always been my winner - guess that remains true this year. Didn't you just want to reach thru the TV though and hug David A? :) Now who is going to go see the AI tour ??? :D:D |

I am so happy for David C.! He did a great job this year and he has TRUE talent. As does David A. :) I loved them both equally and would have been happy no matter who won - so I can't complain :) It's not every year that I am totally in love with both finalists....but this year I was! :thumbup: Usually, it's easy for me to say who I want to win - but this year I was SO torn as I honestly did love them both...so I voted for each of them last night :p I know, I'm a cheater! :D Hehehe. Congratulations to the winner - I know he will do well! And as for David A., I sure do hope to see him again in the future. I think we will ;) P.S. - Yes, the Guitar Hero commercial was awesome - what a HOOT! lol!! I can't believe they got him to do that....shy little David A.....!! :laugh: |

Now that the show is over, my thoughts are really with that sweet Luke Menard. His uncle lives here - big CEO of a big corporation. I met him at a professional event when AI was still 24 contestants - he was so proud of his nephew - the first thing he said to me is Do you watch American Idol, my nephew is Luke! :) Praying Luke beats this cancer quickly. the tour is the top 10 - I think that means Brooke White Carly Smithson Chikezie David Archuleta David Cook Jason Castro Kristy Lee Cook Michael Johns Ramiele Malubay Syesha Mercado so no Amanda & someone else :confused: -- I just think it is strange they cut 2 out - would make more sense if just 6 or 8 went on tour. I'm just bummed that they are coming nowhere near me this year - I would definitely go. I can drive 3 hrs to KC or 4 hrs to the twin Cities My parents who are in their 60s are going to go see them in Florida - they really draw such a wide age range - that's what makes this a winning show. Plus the positive msg - no cussing, insulting, antics by the contestants |

Im sorry to tell you but you missed THE American Idol of all American Idols!! It was by far the most incredible show I have EVER seen. I really hope your computer has the capability of letting you watch it online tomorrow!! My Mom and I are already watching it again right now on our DVR!!! I wish I could record off that cuz Id send it to you!!
