Sorry guys, I forgot about this thread when I made the other one!

My thoughts..

Syesha - I'm looking forward to seeing her on Broadway. That seems to be her strong point, and she seems to love it. I'm sure that she'll show up there in the near future. :)

David A - Nicely done. NOT my favorite tonight. It took me a minute to get over the shock of him changing up that song. But overall, I thought he did well.

Brooke - ouch. I feel bad for her. I really think she did the right thing by stopping to start over - she aknowledged that she messed up, and probably did better than she would have if she just tried to cover it up.

Jason - ow. I'm sorry to his fans, but I've never really been fond of him and this just reinforced it. IMO, he slaughtered that song. It was slightly painful and I felt bad for him.

Carly - VERY VERY nicely done. She owned that song.

David Cook - Just beyond wow. There are no adjectives left to describe that performance. I was in awe...almost crying - no joke. I voted for him like 17 times.

Love David Cook!! I hope he wins. I didn't enjoy any of those songs but I think David did the best. There is something about Jason that I like. He is different.

I haven't watched it much lately, but caught it tonight. Boy, David Cook woooed me! What a fantastic voice he has. My husband says he is a rocker and was fantastic with rock too.

I will hate the time between when David C wins ;);) and when his album comes out! :D

I think that Jason deserves a lot of credit. He came into this competition waaaaay behind the rest of the kids. For him just not to spontaneously combust is an accomplishment! :D I think he'll be great some day when he actually believes it.

Yeah, you've got a point.

Its not that I don't think he's talented - because he is. But I don't think he quite has what it takes for this competition, and he definetly (how IS that spelled?) doesn't have enough self-confidence. He needs to believe in himself. That would surely shine through in his performance, then maybe I'd like him more.

LOL just had to comment on this. I spell that word wrong all the time and i'm thankful that my mac puts red lines under everything that's spelled wrong. its spelled "definitely"

HINT:::: try to remember that the word FINITE is in there and you can get it right each time.

I like David A. I have never liked David C., but I thought he was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S tonight!
I was very uncomfortable throughout brookes performance; seemed like she was shaking the whole time.
I love Carly, but didn't think she was as fabulous as everyone else thought.
Please Paula, one coherent thought in the one hour program...shees.

My thoughts!!

Syesha~~Lookout Jennifer Hudson! Syesha showed performing on Broadway or in the movies with her powerful voice is RIGHT where she belongs too! Not my vote for Idol, but I was so happy for her tonight.

Jason~~ouch! Not your genre! He has made it much further than I thought. Hes funny and cutie, quirky, but not idol to me.....

Brooke~~This was bound to happen. I have always felt she is sweet but NOT a performer. She cant dance, perform AND I think she really hurt her career tonight by starting over this time. The 1st time she did it I thought it was smart, but tonight, IMO was about performing too and on Broadway, etc....you dont ask to start over. BIG MISTAKE. And I was so bugged that Simon and Randy were so easy on her for that. KUDOS to doofy Paula for FINALLY speaking a real opinion!! Brooke is sweet, but I thought her last 3 weeks were too weak to move forward

David A. awww...sorry, I lost it only because I liked the original version better and I thought he swayed too far away from that. Cant hate the sweet guy for tryin to mix it up though! One other thing though, like it was pointed out, I think David lacks a little in delivering a "performance" (dancing, keeping eyes open!, etc.) He has a beautiful voice that will take him far but Im picking he will go to #3!!

Carly~~Thought she did great. The judges have been so tough on her because they know her potential and dont think shes delivered that top notch performance yet, but I think they are still not giving her enough credit for her all around skills. She is still barely hanging onto my vote for #2!

David C!! So impressive. Its really great to see a rocker still show a performing arts side. Talk about a true musician!! Gee, does it suprise you then that he has always had my vote for IDOL?!?!

I agree almost entirely with you! My exception is I am not a Carly fan - I'm ready for her to go, but I thought she did a decent job tonight - actually it was better than a lot of her performances.

Jason was a train wreck - exactly what Randy said - it was painful to watch & listen to. He'll be in the bottom with Brooke.

Syesha was hot! I really hope she pulls out the votes and isn't on her way home this week.

I liked Syesha (Broadway bound, definitely) and David C. The rest were unimpressive IMO. I thought Carly screeched too much (sorry) and the rest were mediocre at best.

AAAAHHHHH!! I missed it!!! I had to work late but thank god hubby TIVO'd it so I can watch it tonight. :D I feel so out of the loop. :(

David A. and David C. are still my favorites. I think it is time for Brook to leave the show.

David A. took a song I really liked and changed it to a song I would never like. Memories is such a lovely song. I did not like what he did with it. Yes, he was on key and not "pitchy' but, it was a C+ performance.
David C. was good, but he definitely is not a "Broadway" singer. "The Music of the Night" is such a great song. I suppose no one can sing it as well as Michael Crawford.

Brooke screwed up big time tonight. She figured it worked for her once, so she did not feel bad trying it again. Like there is "no crying in baseball," there are no "do-overs" on Broadway. The song from "Evita" was "You must Love Me" and it needed more emotion. Not a country twang.

Judging from last night's performances .....
I predict the top THREE will be David C., David A., and Syesha.
Leaving the bottom three to be Brooke, Carly, and Jason.

And I think Jason should go. JMHO. But it will probably be Brooke who leaves. Because Jason has a strong fan base.

We are now down to where we pick the best of the not-so-good. Once again, my opinion. I think Michael Johns would have done well tonight.

Actually it was Jason that sang Memories. David A sang "Think Of Me" - from 'Phantom of the Opera' - I really couldn't believe the judges, especially Simon didn't praise him for changing the arrangement, as Simon said at the start of the show, that he wanted to hear something fresh with these songs
