I'm sad for Brooke, I can't help it. Really and truly, Jason should have gone home. He's not even trying. |

i'm happy to see Brooke go. Jason better be next. |
I figured it would be either Brooke or Jason...it was kinda sad though...I think the most emotional departure thus far...:( |

I thought Jason looked a bit more animated tonight - maybe it just suddenly "sunk in" where he's at and what's at stake. I really like his voice - I still think it's just his laid back attitude that confuses people. Either that or he'd been drinking. ....kidding! But David Cook still just................. rocks!! |

Seems you and I and many others still love Jason. His 'over the rainbow' and 'september morn' and his smile is so endearing. David C. is not enjoying this and I think this is why I am enjoying him less. I think this may come down to David C. and Jason and of course David C has been my favorite since day one . Just my mixed up crazy opinion. |
Paula...oh my. I saw that last night and I was just like...what is she smoking..lol. Oh well. I am beyond annoyed about Brooke going home. I mean, I loved her, but I am irritated that she went home and Jason is still there. Sorry to all the Jason-lovers, but I've never liked him...and I don't think I will. I was expecting Jason to go this week, Brooke to go next week, Syesha to go the week after, and then it would be a toss up between David A. and David C. - I have no clue who will win. I felt really, really bad for Brooke, though feeling bad for someone isn't a reason to keep them in the competition, and that seemed to be why a lot of people voted for her. Yesterday I paid attention and I tried to put my finger on what exactly it is about Jason that bugs me...and I just can't figure it out. He was even a bit more of a performer this week, but I just don't enjoy him. Ah well. If he wins though...I won't be watching next year. Sorry. |
Don't worry Megan he won't win and you will be with us next year:thumbup: |
It was so time for Brooke to go!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like to see them so upset and sad however. I never liked, oh, your kicked off, by the way, would you mind singing for us? |
I still think Simon made that comment to Syesha last night about her being voted off on purpose!! And I think it worked!! I think he said it in hopes people would disagree and call to vote for her! And she stayed. Talent wise, Jason really does need to smile beautifully, sing us a sweet song and go home next. Syesha and the Davids are a very well deserved top three IMO!! Go David C. Also, someone said earlier David C doesnt look like he's having fun....I see how it looks that way, but Im kinda thinking maybe he is trying to be humble. I think he wants to show more enthusiasm, but he hasnt found the perfect median of showing excitement yet remaining humble.....hope he does cuz Id like to see some more excitement from him too. I think he is just an amazing talent! ;) |

And plus, with his brother being so sick (David C.).... |
I am so sorry I got my Davids mixed up. I meant to say I don't think David A is enjoying this much and that is why I don't enjoy watching him as much as in the beginning. David C. does have a sweet humbleness about him mixed with confidence. |

And it seems like every time David C "lets go", Simon blasts him as being cocky or arrogant. So I think he's trying so hard to "play the game" as well as show his talent. Although that seems to go against what it all should be, that also makes him very smart for his future career. Can't wait for that. ;) |
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...g?t=1209644323See I knew you would know what I was talking about. lol |
See, I'm on the total opposite here. I think David C. has the most arrogant and cocky attitude. I believe he is going to win this (and he knows it), and I think he deserves to win, even though I don't think he's all that great. What I do think is that he is very smart, and he is making extremely smart decisions in his choice of song and arrangements. Since Carly went home, I'm not as excited about it anymore. I think Syesha has really upped her game, and I'd like to see her in the final two with David C. |

Funny, but at the bottom of this thread is a Phil Stacey ad for his new song. Guess the info-miners are at work on YT! |
Ok, I was gone last night. I know that Brooke went home but who else was in the bottom? I hope it was Jason, but I just read something crazy online -- "Ryan Seacrest never stated that Syesha Mercado and Brooke constituted the bottom two" All I have to say, is Syesha did not deserve to be in the bottom -- I really think she did a fabulous job the last 2 weeks. And take a look at this computer dialing system and who they predicted had the most votes on Tuesday night --- pretty surprising!! DialIdol.com - Measuring the busy signal. Anyone know what they are singing next week?? Oh, please let Jason go home - I thought it was so bad this week :eek: |
Just another reason why I love Jason I know there are a lot of people on here that don't like Jason, but to me his personality is just so endearing, he is so down to earth and takes all the criticism given him with a smile on his face. Here is an American Idol report. AMERICAN IDOL REPORT *Jason Castro, 21, (yes, the dreadlocked dude) from Rockwall, a Junior at Texas A & M. *His home church is Lakepoint Baptist, in Rockwall. *He received a scholarship in Petroleum Engineering from A & M *Member, Aggie Men's Club, a Christian service organization that spent last spring break in Honduras building houses. (sounds like a PCA minimester??) *He has been on two mission trips with his church to Russia. *When asked by IDOL interviewers, what his goals in life are, he responded, "To be a loving father, faithful husband, and servant of all." WOW *When asked what he liked to do in his spare time, he replied, "...I get a lot of joy out of doing for other people, because at the end of the day, if you've only done stuff for yourself, what joy is it?" *When asked what he would do with his first big paycheck, he said, "uh...probably pay off my parent's house...their bills, and stuff" *During the judges' critiques, while most contestants try to defend themselves in front of the judges, Jason graciously accepts the criticism and smiles respectfully, even though the judges can be very cruel. *Jason was contacted by Rick Warren's church, (author of Purpose Driven Life) outside of LA, Easter week, and invited to worship with their congregation since he couldn't be at his own church, and of course, he went. *Earlier in the Idol season, Jason was asked about his faith by a few of the contestants and therefore gave birth to a Bible Study among them. *He grew up playing the drums and when he went off to college, he taught himself to play the guitar, and has written several songs. *When he auditioned for IDOL last August, he had only sung 5 times in public. |
After last nights AI I went and bought Neil Diamond tickets to see him at Fenway Park in Boston! Im sooo excited! Ive seen him before and hes excellent, but I just loved his new song and I can't wait to pick up his new album in 5 more days! :) Im such a dork! (Im only 31 by the way! haha) I love David C. I think hes sooo talented! part of the point of the show and starting a singing career is making smart choices and knowing what songs will suit you and what won't. |

Thanks for that. I gotta say... the Aggie Spirit is strong and it sounds like they are really pulling for him. I would not be shocked if he walked away with the American Idol title. It's become a popularity contest really and while I really like his singing and LOVE to look at him, I can't say he's the BEST singer. Sometimes that doesn't matter though. I'm going to keep voting for him. There was a TMZ article a while back that said he has done more volunteer work in his young life than most of us will do in our lifetimes. I think that says a lot about him. Again, doesn't mean that he's the best singer but his heart is in the right place. |

Syesha, was with Brooke in the bottom two. I like you love Syesha but I don't think she can beat David C. and I really want David C. to win. Next week will be a dogfight between a couple there to stay . This can go just about anyway now except David C is pretty safe to win I think. If Syesha doesn't win it all it will be the first time in years that Katie(11 yrs old ) was wrong. She seems to be swaying toward David C. now;) |
Cynthia, thanks for the info on Jason - I had no idea he was a Christian - now you've endeared him a bit to me - but I've never been a fan. Maybe if I could hear him sing some Christian music. Angie, how exciting to be going to Neil Diamond!! He really is a jewel. I'm not really a David Cook fan -- I'm pulling for David A. And for the "I want this" attitude - that goes to Syesha. She is the one really trying to step it up. Did they actually say she was in the bottom 2? Because from what I read online, it wasn't stated that way -- makes you wonder.......... |
