| I would love the front of the house to point south instead of north and have the sun come up at the kitchen end and set at the garage end. I don't like how the north wind blows leaves from neighbors trees on to my front yard. I would not have an upstairs again, but would love an L shape home. I would also love to have the the house wired for sterio, intercom and alarm. |

| I want a carpet free house too. Unfortunately, we just put this very expensive carpet in the entire upstairs of our house like 2 years ago. My DH will kill me if I rip it all out and replace with hardwoods!!! Shhhhh....don't tell him my plans!!!!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | hmm....well, I'd make it so that we own the house haha. but that doesn't really count. I have one for the outside and one for the inside. Outside: I'd have the stupid pool fixed. The house has a GORGEOUS inground pool that is just huge. I was so excited. Then the woman told us its broken - which she wasn't aware of when she bought it. The cement in it is just all cracked and nasty. She said it would cost $9000 to fix it. =( Inside: I'd put central air in. The house is very old (though it was completley remodeled, the original build and everything is still there), so its not wired for central air. Its small enough that I think we'll be able to keep it cool, but there's nothing better than walking into an airconditioned house after being outside on a 100* day.

| Five years ago my husband and I built a new home for the first time. Here are some of the "extras" we put into our home that we are enjoying: * side entrance door into the garage * electric garage door * central vacuuming system * central air conditioning * extra recessed lightingh * huge island in the kitchen * lights under the cabinet * remote control propane gas fireplace There are most likely others that I have forgotten right now! Good luck with the house! |

I wish my carpet were in dire need of a change so I have an excuse but since shoes aren't allowed in our house, it will take a long time to wear it out | |

| We just bought a house and I wish the bathrooms were bigger, they are so small. Also our kitchen is the houses original and it is 25 years old and very ugly. We are redoing in here in a month but I wish we could make it a huge gourmet style one with all stainless appliances. I love to cook!

| Our main floor and top floor our wood and we left our basement cement floors that we painted....just in case of leaks, pipes breaking, hot water heater, etc. But I found that our basement never gets too cold or too hot! We put in a fireplace down there and we have never had to use it. But I don't think our next house will have a basement....or an upstairs though....I am thinking ONE level!!!!

| I just realized If I was to change something in my house, I want my entire driveway to be heated as I am tired of the shovelling and since we cannot get down our driveway without doing this there is no easy way out |
