| Ok, gals I have to show off my favorite new thing in our house!! I have always wanted a pool, an outdoor kitchen with a fireplace. I designed this one completely then hired someone to build it! We spend lots of time out there and I cook as many meals as possible in our outdoor kitchen. We get in our Hot Tub every night then sit out by the fire to relax. Best money we ever spent!!!

| This is not as big a deal as some of the other ideas, but my husband and I were robbed the week before Thanksgiving right after we got married. After that, he said he'd love to have a built-in, fireproof safe in the floor of our closet. If we'd had that, I would still have jewelry that belonged to my grandmother, along with guns that my son and husband inherited.

| Sorry that that happened!! But that is a great idea! I believe someone we know (I can't think of who right now) did this when they built their house...I remember them having carpet in their closet that wasn't tacked down, so you could pull it back and reveal the door to the safe. That is definitely going on my list!!!

| I'd like to have electrical outlets in places (on the fireplace, above various doorways, etc.) where I'd like to decorate for Christmas but can't because there isn't an outlet close enough and/or I don't wanna have a huge extension cord hanging there.

| Outlets are such a biggie!!! I definitely want them under each and every window so Christmas lights are easier. On the fireplace is a good idea too!!!

I want an entire secret room/safe room....and the architect is working it into our plans. It will be in the master closet behind a rack of clothes. It will have cement walls that can be used as a "safe room" for our family along with our valuables. Our neighbors put one in their house and it awesome. It would be great if you needed to hide if robbed or if we needed a safe place to be in the event of a tornado.

| For sure I will have outlets outside on the roof (If you know what I mean...) to connect all the christmas lighting without needing extension cords... And a Sunroom... Oh and my own huge crafts/sewing/stuff room... and hubby's one...

| New carpet upstairs and different trim and doors. (A bigger house would be nice too!) We have a townhouse so it has this ugly fake looking wood trim. Slowly I'm painting all of it, but painting the trim means getting new doors too. We are doing the downstairs first, then upstairs. My husband and I ripped up all the carpet & flooring downstairs and painted all of the trim white this summer and then we had an engineered hardwood floor put in. I love it, but it's hard because the downstairs is almost done but we had to stop before we could do upstairs because it got too cold to paint trim in the garage and we ran out of cash for the project. I'd rather wait than finance it, but looking at this worn out carpet every day is getting old.

| Love that wall color..........what brand/color is it? I have real wood trim....so I doubt if DH would allow me to paint it white...wonder if that tan would look good w/ wood trim?? I am wanting to downsize, but I am still wanting a room just for crafts, computer, schooling, etc......WITHOUT giving up an extra bedroom (in case company comes).

| wahhh i want a house!! I'm so jealous. Does anyone want to adopt me? I love all these ideas. I once saw that someone had a trivet built into the tile on their counter for hot pans. I always thought that was a cool idea.

| I love the central vac idea........I wanted one of those in this house, but DH thought it was NOT needed.......but with wood floors throughout the house...I think that would have been GREAT! The outdoor entertaining area...another wanted item that DH didn't feel we should even include in the budget.....with the outdoor wiring for lights and music...that is a BIG plus....especially since we love to entertain and love being outdoors! Also.....I have a huge attic, but the stairs are the pull down stairs and I find that they are kind of hard to get big things up...even though it is a large opening.....are there any other ways for the attic? Does anyone have just a stair way leading to the attic?? How is that? I wouldn't think that would take up too much space? A friend built their house w/ an extra room, which you get to thru their bedroom...that they use just for that....their attic. What do you think of that? We are actually using the extra bedroom downstairs for storage right now, as I hate using the pull down attic stairs......maybe I am being too picky?? Another house we looked at....had big huge wooden front doors...we have a wood front door, but not huge and fancy like these were....and they put the dog door on the side of the house where the yard was fenced. So, in the family room, there on the wall, was a dog door.........isn't that kind of weird, but neat?!
