Jeter loves to go for walks now. I live in the downtown area of Sandusky, right by a few parks and blocks from Jackson Street pier.I will walk Jeter all the way to the pier and back, not sure how far we actually go. I do not walk him if it is too hot out because he will get to the end of our block and flop in the grass and give me a look like I am crazy to think he will take one more step:rolleyes:

I have taken Axl just around our block, but not Yumi Yasha...I can't find her a small enough harness..Just like Jeter when I first got him, he was so tiny nothing fit..so for now she just runs in the back yard.

Adorame - Sounds like Jeter and Axl are having great walks. Thanks for letting me know about their walks. So, Jeter will flop, too? I guess they are trying to tell us that it is too hot to walk!

Shelby and Semour - We saw a bigger dog on the Jet Express going to Put-in-Bay. I think that was the beginning of my realization that dogs are welcome there. :) I would love to take Piccolo to one of the islands!

not sure how many of you live in indiana. but i live in griffith where the tornado hit and i have to say im so proud of my little guy. i was standing by the window before a tree fell and knocked out all the windows int he apartment and he kept growling and pulling my pants like come on mom time to go in the bathroom and the whole time in the bathroom he sat in my lap and dident cry he just tried to comfort me because i was terrified you could literally hear the roof being ripped off. his birthdays the 14th this month, since he was so good and brave i gave him one of his presents early a huge bone the size of his whole body lol he loves and loves trying to drag it around. he has been slepping alot more and whining since the strom but everythings a mess we jsut got power back ont hursday but i think were gonna take a trip to the vet because he has epelepsy and i dont want his stress to trigger it. anyones dog get scared from the storm? the sirens dident go off when the tornado was here so my dog draggin me away was the only warning i had. thank god for my little fluff ball:p

Aww armani. How amazing! I'm glad you guys are ok! I'm terrified of tornados and really bad storms. That is just beautiful how your baby saved you! Give him hugs and kisses from all of us!

I hope someday my dog will do the same for me. I've always wanted a dog that can and would save my life if needed. That is so brave of him. Aww.

Armani2007, I am soo sorry about you and your sweetie having to go thru the tornado this week. I did hear about them around Chicago and in Indiana. I am so glad you are both ok. What a little sweetheart he is.....Bless his heart. Hope he continues to rest up and start feeling better. We had a terrible tornado here in 2005. Our coworker who was 8 months pregnant, her 3 year old son, and her husband all lost their lives. It was so sad. It was at 2:30 or so in the morning so many people were sleeping. It tragically hit a trailer park in Evansville and killed about 22 people there. It seems like those weather jet streams kinda hang in the same place for a while cause we tend to get storms a lot usually, but for some reason this spring/summer it is tending to go north of us ...like by you and Indy when they got all the rain this year and flooded. Again, so glad you are doing ok. Is your building inhabitable....have you had to relocate? Hope everything will get settled down for you soon. Give your baby a big hug from Winston and me:);)!!

Armani - I'm so glad you and little Griffith are okay. I didn't even realize Indiana had tornadoes on Thursday. What a brave little man you have.

You asked about other furbabies being afraid of storms....Piccolo is not afraid of storms, but she is afraid of vacuum cleaners, air break sounds, big dogs, and people she does not know. I'm watching my daughter's dog and he is afraid of just about any loud noise, including storms, poor baby.

hey everyone. So today is the first day that Bandit is home alone while we are at work. DH has been layed off for a while and just got back to work. Please give me some support here. I'm so worried about him!! He is in the spare bedroom with all his toys and his food and water. he also has pee pads to go on. I'm so scared something bad will happen to him even though I puppy proofed the whole room. I'm scared he'll have like a little puppy heart attack!!

So I wanted to add this picture of Bandit in his playroom that I took with my phone just before I left this morning. Its not a good picture at all, it kinda dark, and Bandit still has his sleepy face on lol. But here it is anyways.

no we were able to stay in or apartment because we got new windows the next day. but because of all the dead leafs on the ground "aand him loving to roll in them" he seems to have gotten flea's and its making his hair fall out! so were off to the vet today to see whats going on. i hope i dont have to shave him :eek: he already has a few little bad spots he must be really alergic to them.:(

Ashley - It looks like Bandit has a great place to stay, while you are at work. I bet he got all caught up on his sleep, and was ready for you, with lots of love, when you got home. :)

Armani - How was Griffith's visit to the vet? Did they get his skin problem figured out?

Just wanted to send some pictures of our "big day," yesterday. I think some of you know that Morkie 1 (Donna) and I friends, going way back to elementary school. Anyway the DH's and ourselves went to the Inland Seafood Festival at Newport on the Levy yesterday. When we finished stuffing ourselves, we came back and took a very short Model-A ride. (It was short because we broke down. :eek: ) The first picture is of the ride with Piccolo and Poquito. Then Piccolo went next door to visit the Brittany puppies. It was so cute because one of the puppies was pulling on Piccolo's leash. (Too bad I could not get a picture of that.) But anyway, the second picture is Piccolo with one of the six puppies.

Lisa those pictures are so good!! You guys looked like you were having the time of your lives!! Sorry you broke down and it got cut short!! Piccolo is just the prettiest little girl!!

hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know whats going on. I hurt my back at work and will be off for the next few days. I'm pretty drugged up right now so i'll post more tomorrow, and I should be able to get caught up on a head count for the meet-up. So sorry about your back:(....that is always so frustrating. What is it that you do ....I may already know this, but I cant remember. Well the one good thing is ;), BANDIT time! He can help you recup!! Enjoy the little guy...he will be good company!!

I am an admin assistant in an office. a shipment from Dell came in and one box was over 100lbs and I had to move it so I decided to rock it back and forth while moving it forward and in the process I pulled a muscle in my back and it is now shooting throughout my back. It got really bad last night. And get this I dont get paid for being off work, I only have 2 days vacation left and I am using those but because I got hurt at work short term or long term dissability will not cover it and workers comp wont pay me until I've been off for 7 days. So now i'm losing money. I'm broke as it is, I have hardly any food in my house, last night Billy picked me up some pizza rolls so I have something to eat while i'm at home. I dont know how we are going to make it with the bills we have and me not working. I will have to go back on monday even if the doctor says not to. I dont have a choice. Anyways I needed to vent.

Lisa- thanks for posting the pictures and thanks for the wonderful time tonight at dinner celebrating your birthday! You'll have to tell everyone about the beautiful birthday sombero :)!!!

Have you tried a heating pad and something like Ben-gay or Apercreme?
I wrenched my back a few months ago and I don't even know what I did, but I woke up and I could barely move! After using the creme for a few days on the sore area, it really helped!
I hope you are feeling better!

I just posted a tread about my son braking his arm. I am so upset that this happened to him. He got injured last night and did not tell me he got hurt, a little girl from across the street came over to ask how he was and that is how I saw that he was hurt. I washed him off and bandaged him up checked over and he just said his head hurt. he went to bed after taking Tylenol and when he got up this morning his right arm was swollen up! and it looked deformed, kind of bent, so off to the ER. I got their at 9:45am and we did not get home till 2:00pm:eek: He goes to the Bone Dr on Monday to get a different cast on. they have him in a splint for know because of how swollen up he is. He is upset that he can't go into the pool! He has been hurt before and not tell us, he had a high tolerance for pain...Don't know were he get's that from;)

I hope that you all have a good weekend! I might go to my mom's again with all the dogs, plus Nana wants to see her poor li'l Lincoln and give him some loving;) I am also hoping mom will put Jeter's hair up for me, I broke my hand at the beginning of August and I haven't been able to brush my fur babies hair, and the boy's have no clue how to put Jeter's pony tail in. So my Yorkies look like rag a muffins:eek: I really feel like a bad mom now:rolleyes:

I thought I would mention a really cute pet place that opened near me!

It's called "Pretty Pooch Boutique" and it's in Waynesville, for anyone who is close. It's right on Main St. where all the antique and gift shops are located.
I stumbled across it last weekend. It's an adorable shop with really cute clothes, beds, grooming, harnesses, toys, etc..
I think it only opened a month or so ago!

hey everyone. I'm still not back to work. I'm off until at least Thursday this week. I have to go for a MRI tomorrow because they think I have a Herniated disc. I have to keep icing my back, i'm not allowed to put heat on it. I'm going insane just sitting at home, although i'm so happy to be with Bandit. He's really taking care of me, when I get in alot of pain he comes up to me and licks my face, he's trying to make me feel better. He's such a sweetie. I dont know what I'd do without him. I'm so drugged up I have a hard time seeing sometimes, my whole body is tingly. Anyways I hope everyone is doing ok, and thanks to everyone for the support!!

Reese1: The lady that owns Pretty Pooch Boutique has a little store in Ceasars Creek Flea Market also, she has some really great stuff!!

Adorame: I hope your son's arm heals quick, I cant believe he could deal with that pain and not say anything. Thats crazy.

I had no idea they had a store in the flea market, I've actually never been to that flea market before. I've only been to Trader's world. The store in Waynesville is adorable!

Adorame -How did it go for your son at the doctor's office today? So now you have two people with broken bones in your family....Wow....Hope everyone is helping each other. Bless you both.

My son could not get his arm casted yet..he has an open wound on his arm and they will cast it next week. I have to keep him inactive till next Monday. they have to X ray it to make sure it is still lined up and healing, if not then they will have to do surgery. He broke both the bones in his lower arm. Lincoln has ADHD and I have to keep him rested so he does not due any further damage....wish me luck;)

And Yes I also have a broken hand. I have 3 more weeks to go with my injury, it's healing up very well. My other 3 boy's and Hubby are being great sports helping us out;)
