breeders who have done their homework know that yorkies were orginally made of about 5-6 different breeds of dogs. Thats how you get the color variations..yorkies also use to be bigger, they were bred down to the standard <7 pounds they are now. thats why you have the larger yorkies and the different colors. All yorkies have the chance of throwing another color..it depends on how strong the red or white gene is in that specific dog...

that is why she is working with the UKC to try and get standards set for the chocolates. She is in no way trying to compete against standard yorkies, she is doing what everyone else who had a different variation on the breed had to do, get the standard set...does that mean the chocolate labs should not be shown? And what about chocolate poodles? Gold poodles? Im not trying to be a smarta@@ or anything, im just stating facts. To clear things up, shes not my yorkie...shes a friend of mines yorkie that she bought from the lady who started this thread.

I am not saying the dog isnt pretty, as she is. She is just not the standard and this color should not be bred. I will say congrats on Kelly for having the guts to show her!!!! You did well. Lynn
i didnt show her, shes is my friend shannettes pup and she showed her. i just helped her get her ready and showed her what to do
there was nothing for her to be embarrassed about, she had alot of fun and so did her pups.

I really think Shanette Barbee should be the person to get all the credit for having the insight to show Carmella. She was even summoned from ringside after the show and commended for showing such a unique color by 3 judges
to the ring. I myself am truly grateful to Shanette and Carmella and thanks to Kelly Krack to assist Shannette at the show! I am Carmella's breeder, but Shannette is the person who entered her in the UKC showring and got her
2nd in best bitch. Please congratulate Shannette!

First of all i never started out breeding chocolates the only yorkie i had was a 5 lb female never showed her but the lady that mentored me for years would tell stories of these horried show breeders that would cull out the red ones and that my baby was a black and gold out of a litter that was murdered. I spent several years getting this line and another getting ch. lines in with them Refurbishing this almost extinct line because people in The big shows say they arent worthy. Well They are mine I feel they are worthy and anyone who doesnt can keep there opinions to there selves im not a back yard breeder im a loveing person who cared enough to stop the mutalation of a breed man created to start with. which most dogs are mutations of some sorts using this and that the actual standard of a yorkie is a mutation of several breeds and the red gene is in your precious black and golds as well its just not dominate in them. In my line it is. I only have two females both are chocolate and i have produced one litter of chocolates in ten years so say what you want you dont know me or anything about the chocolate line or you and obviously dont care about mutalation of a breed. whether recognized by a club or just a human they deserve recognition breeders for show mixing breeds is what caused it so who are you to say i did something wrong? if you have ever bread you dog does that make you a back yard breeder or wait do you have a large kennel of 40 dogs like alot of you. Dont judge me

thank you for being supportive. They are yorkies same as bewers gemany took that line noone ever gave a reason why chocolates or liver and tans were murdered out what was it about a red one that could make someone hate it? i have never understood that thank you again

honestly what does it matter?? the judge didnt have to give her anything at all either way. the judge loved her dog and wanted to give her first place but couldnt because there was no standard for it

Im here to educate and show people there is nothing wrong with these dogs no more than liver and tan bloodhound who took westminster or chocolate labs and chocolate and red poodles men put these breeds together and we should be responsible for what we create. Thank you to the supporters If i can ever help or inlighten anyone about these beutiful dogs feel free to pm or email me thank you againd for your support

I definitely didn't mean anything sinister by it. I honestly wanted to know. If you don't want to answer. That's ok.
