| ![]() I am so shocked to see all of this... I as well as others thought Stacy to be a well respected breeder. In fact, a few months ago I nearly bought a puppy from her but for some reason felt that it was not right. Call it a gut feeling, I guess. I think that the OP had every right to post this. She comes across as a very caring, nice person and seems to have concern for Stacy. Maybe something is going on in the breeders personal life, but that does not make it okay to handle the situation like she has. She's clearly seen this thread and has chosen not to respond. Everyone has shown not only concern for the OP that she hasn't gotten her AKC paperwork, but ALSO for Stacy and wondering if she's okay. I would like to hear both sides of the story as well, but I will totally side with the OP because she did not get paperwork she was promised. That is totally wrong no matter what the circumstance. |

| ![]() I have taken all the private steps!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! She is spayed!!!!!!!!!!! and I paid for the price for an AKC yorkie and I would like to register. If you can read carefully what I said, I thoughtfully posted this. All my feelings are there. Stacy had so many chances to tell me her side of stories... and she can here as well. Quote:

i agree, you have a duty to help in every way that you can as a breeder, i have had a bad experience with a breeder, and they do have a duty to help you...in my experience the lady who i got my boy from just wanted to fund her world cruise.

I cannot beleive she charged so much for a sick puppy. I could understand a small 200 or maybe a little more adoption fee but OMG 500 dollars. I think the PA lemon law is very similar to the NJ one so she may be entitled to the 500 dollars back. I would seriously look into this. I know that 500 dollars doesnt even touch the amount of the PDA surgery but every little bit helps. I have been following this topic and like others have said no one is Bashing Slyvan yorkies but they are entitled to what they paid for. I would want my papers if I had paid for a dog with AKC papers. You upholded your part of the contract it is only right she uphold her part of the contract. I hope you have started the steps legally to get what you paid for. This sounds like an open and shut case. But if this breeder were smart she would take care of this before it goes any farther. All she is doing now is destroying her name and by ignoring this problem its only going to get worse. Im sure like others have said, all she had to do was talk to you, explain things (even if they werent as she stated when the pup was sold). Im sure this would of never been posted on the internet and now its out there for the world to read and when someone now does a search on Slyvan yorkies they are going to find this topic and are going to look elsewhere for a pup.

| ![]() I for one....truly believe Sylvan Yorkies is a dedicated Breeder who loves her Yorkies and takes great care in finding them loving homes. I think in all FAIRNESS to Stacy.....it would be important to actually hear the OTHER side of the story, before making attempts to dishonor her reputation. You have admitted publically how happy you are with Haruka......and so I am puzzled on why you would take great pains to Post this. Were you planning on BREEDING Haruka? Perhaps its my nature.....but I certainly would have taken more PRIVATE steps to address this. And I'm glad you feel so much better now......irregardless of the consequences to others.... Francie I don't understand your logic. What does it matter if she was planning on breeding Haruka? She paid for the papers and after numerous emails and unreturned phone calls she posted here. This is exactly what she should have done. Maybe it will prevent someone else from going through the same thing. As far as consequences, Stacy brought all this on herself. I have no sympathy for her. Oh, and just for the record...there's no such word as irregardless. |

| ![]() Michiko I remember when you could only care for your friends Yorkie and was just hoping a saving to get your own. I was so happy to here to finally got one of your own and you had gotten one from such a good breeder. My first thought was what a spoiled little girl she was going to be (and probably is). I hope things work out for you.

| ![]() Okay Jim, there is a word irregardless ( I looked it up in the dictionary). Can't help but feel that I missed something on that one!! I just wanted to say that if you pay for a registerable puppy and fulfilled your end of the contract than papers should be forthcoming. You have a right to pursue them and should do so.

| ![]() Petty? Just trying to help. ETYMOLOGY: Probably blend of irrespective , and regardless Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so. |

| ![]() Can you all believe what this thread has turned into? Why do these threads continue to get ugly when we all say we'll do better next time? We all need to read the first post AGAIN.

BANNED! | ![]() I think everyone needs to take a chill pill and relax. The OP has remained steady in trying to be as tactful as possible in a bad situation. I realize there are 2 sides to this story, but I feel the OP should be commended for her honest and integrity for keeping this post as unbiased as possible. She has a right to get what she paid for since she kept up her end of a spay/neuter contract. I'm not going to bash anyone including Sylvan Yorkies, she has a right to choose ignore commenting on this out in public and handle it in a more private way if she so chooses. I'm not god and I surely dont walk on water, we are all human and make mistakes, perhaps she has a reason for this incident and will handle it privately. As for the OP I hope this is worked out to your satisfaction. |
