David, that was just my way of asking how close you live to David and what your connection is to them. Next time I wont beat around the bush and just ask. The reason I wonder if you are neighbors or maybe related is I cant fathom how anyone in their right mind would stand up for someone that is obviously causing so much heartache to so many unless they were connected to them in some way. Your nasty little remark to me didnt bother me at all as I dont have a thing in the world against teacups. You somehow forgot to include the prior sentence on my site that says I breed to the yorkie standard but I am sure that was just an oversight on your part. Thanks Amber and V for sticking up for me. He was hoping for a reaction he just didnt get and I know that is all it was. Dobie after the segment airs and you see both sides of the story, I wonder if you will still be sticking up for them or if you will have to some crow to be munching on. |
Need help from Dobiedude Dobiedude, I wanted to let you know that I have left email and voice messages with David Moore at his kennel. I am trying to set up an interview with him to get his side of the story. It would be very helpful if you could contact him and encourage him to get in touch with me. I know from your previous posts that it's important to you that both sides of the story are told. I agree and that can only happen if he calls me to set up an interview. If you can reach him, I implore you to do so as soon as possible. We are airing this story soon and I would hate to say, "Mr. Moore did not respond to our efforts to reach him for comment." I would appreciate anything you can do on this matter. Regards, David Producer Fox 26 News |
David at Fox 26 News - THANK YOU for your tremendous efforts! :) I hope you are able to get in touch with David Moore. I am intereted to see how he will explain himself and give reasoning for producing so many sick puppies... if there even is a valid explanation. |

Now if you are talking about a puppymill having a privacy fence, then I agree, they shouldn't be trying to hide the dogs behind a privacy fence if they don't have anything to hide. |

I didn't stick up for him, I asked a simple question to the person who started this thread and I do not understand as to why this has been so blown out of proportion. Yes you said that on your page states you do not breed for them. but your use "teacup" and every post I have read here says anyone who uses this word is a "bad Breeder" go check some of the post in the past. If I offended you I am sorry. |

Why would he listen to me or return my phone calls if he is not doing it for you? You can only do what you can do. Just wished Fox would have covered my story too. |

Besides eating the crow is not the hard part! It's farting the feathers that hurts. |
Sorry for calling you David. My bad........I wasnt implying you are David. That was a goof up. |
No prob. |
Dobiedude, My mistake, I thought a previous post said that you were hunting partners with Mr. Moore. I thought you might have alternative phone numbers such as a home or cell phone where you could reach him. And I figured as someone who may be friendly with Mr. Moore, you could explain to him why you think it's important for him to tell his side of the story. You have made that opinion clear to many people on this forum you've never met in your life. I thought you might like to tell someone you actually know the same thing about the importance of hearing all sides. If not, don't worry about it. The amount of time we are giving him to respond is above and beyond what people usually get. As far as telling YOUR story. I would be happy to hear your story if it is at all compelling. But if you simply are a happy customer who received a nice dog, I ask you to see my previous post about how news stories work. In it I explain: A satisfied customer does not excuse documented rip-offs or scams. In fact, dozens of happy customers do not excuse documented scams. Further, thousands of happy customers do not excuse scams. If Mr. Moore feels that he has never misled or scammed any customers, I very much want him to have his say. But I cannot force him to talk to us. It is up to him and if you are acquainted with him and feel his kennel is a quality business, I urge you to place a call to him and encourage him to stand up for himself. David |
Wow, this has been a busy little thread! I think David (Fox News) is doing a great thing and,in addition, showing us all what a professional he is with his manner of posting. He makes an excellent point. Scamming is scamming. Just because everyone that's ever dealt with this guy hasn't been a victim of a scam doesn't mean others have not. Go Fox! |

My story was from July of 05 when my llamas were killed (murdered) shot in the head and FOX did not want to do a report on it. Channel 2 did but in my humble opinion did a piss poor job of reporting. Channel 11 came out and did an outstanding job much like you are doing by ferreting out all the facts and exhausting all resources before you go to air. The hunting partner thing was what I thought was a snide comment and I responded to it. |

My mistake, Dobie. I didn't catch the sarcasm on the hunting remark. I must be reading too fast. Also I didn't realize you were talking about your llama incident when you referred to "your story." While not happy with all the coverage, getting two stations to cover the same story is pretty impressive. Many times, stations will bail out on a story if it looks like it will be covered by other stations. After all, if everyone did the same stories, all the news programs would pretty much look alike. UPDATE: I have left 3 voice messages and 1 email with Mr. Moore. Hopefully, he will respond to my calls. Otherwise, we will be forced to air the story without him. But as I have mentioned, I am confident that we will be doing multiple stories on Brushy Creek and he will have more opportunities to respond. In addition, I have learned other media outlets will be doing stories on Mr. Moore. I'm not sure but he may be getting tired of responding to accusations. Regardless, I should know an air date for our story by next week. Keep checking this forum and our website for details. Thanks! David www.myfoxhouston.com |
I'm new to this whole thing so can someone explain to me what is different between what Brush Creek is doing and what Yorkie puppy is doing? Ashley |
David, No problem it happens. As for my story I didn't call either one they both just showed up well let me clarify they called me I do not know how they got my phone number but none the less it was strange. Channel 2 stayed 30 min to 45 min and channel 11 came two or three days later and spent about 5 hours with my wife which was just unbelievable to me. The stores were almost polar opposites one had much more detail and had all the facts and did what you are doing. I know its a lost art to most people but investigative reporting should be just that. Put all the facts out on the table and let the viewer decide. When emotions run high people tend to add or subtract from their stories thus giving an unclear picture of what really happened. That is why I posed my question to you on here. I hope you hold out for a little while to see if he contacts you but I know you have deadlines to meet but like you said your giving everyone the opportunity to speak which I must commend you on. Keep up the good work and investigative work. |
brushy creek kennel hello, I was told about this site and simply had to check it out for myself... I say this because they are in NO way running a puppy mill over there. I have frequented many kennels and I can quite honestly say that the kennels there are impecable and state of the art. They maintain high standards regarding cages and care of the dogs. They are well cared for, well fed and I have never witnessed abuse or seen any signs of sick dogs when I was there ever. When I did go there, I had to wear protective clothing and be basically sterilized before I could enter the kennel due to the fact that they quarantine animals there for shipments overseas etc. That is the REAL reason that the public is not allowed in the kennels. As with any living being, dogs do get sick just as kids do. The kennel does not intentionally sell sick animals. It would serve NO purpsose for them to do so as the kennel is their "business". The vaccinations are up to date and clearly stated on each kennel etc. I do understand that they could sell thousands of good puppies and that the only story you are looking for is the selling of the bad ones, somehow though, that seems like unfair reporting, almost more of smear campaign waged and started by people who may have "other" motives against Mr. Moore. It does appear that the people on this site have much time on their hands. IF animal rights are so important to them, I urge them to do some research and visit a "real" puppy mill to see the conditions etc. I am not saying I agree with puppies being sold that end up sick etc. I am saying that the families that have been made "complete" and happy from buying puppies to add to their famies is far greater than any unhappy ones. On one of my visits, the Houston SPCA was there for a surprise inspection. They found NO faults, NO sick dogs, NO problems at all and were quite impressed with the facilities and the care of the dogs. This is all documented with them, please be sure to check with them regarding their visits. I know people who have gotten pups from them and have been very happy and have been repeat customers. This whole story is a huge concern due to the fact that the recent lawsuit brought on by another "dog breeder" has caused bad blood and the vendetta rages on today. I guess that breeder is using this forum to get yet another day in the spotlight so to speak. I would hope that her records will also be checked and that the story will also point out her "questionable" puppy selling tactics. In closing, the staff at Brushy Creek doesn't find any joy in learning of a sick puppy or dog. I do know that their contract allows for replacement of a dog within a certain amount of time. I also know that they have on many occasions taken dogs back from people who just didn't work out for that family. The overall health and happiness of each and EVERY dog is important and that is bottom line. Again, I am shocked to read the constant bashing that seems to be repeated and repeated by the SAME people on this site. Same stuff, different wording etc. |
i just read thru this post and want to give a huge thanks to david and fox news for investigating this kennel. Good job. I wish i could see it on the news but i guess i'll just have to read about it later. |
