				 | I definetly couldnt deprive my dogs of the outdoors...they LOVE to run around in the grass and play. And they ADORE their walks. The fresh air is important for any living creature. Plus I love the dog parks too much to not take my dogs outside. I can understand the whole treating them like they are our children thing...but even children go outside and play lol...and as far as the flea and tick thing go...anyone can carry a flea into the house and bam a flea problem lol...I use Advantage myself and havent seen a flea for YEARS! I couldnt take away the pleasure of outside for my dogs, boy one that has never touched the grass doesnt know what he/she is missing!!! JMO.. Dawn |

				 | Cidney When I am gone for work, my 3 Yorkies are blocked off to the back part of my home where the bedrooms are located, they do not have access to the living room or kitchen. I do have a doggy door they can come and go out side in the back yard when they want. My backyard is secure, I do a fence check often and the gate has a pad lock on it. I have never had a problem with them having access to the backyard and sometimes when I come home from work, they will be outside laying on the patio enjoying the nice wheather on days we have it. I think they like being able to go out. |

				 | No! its not okay! My vet told me that another yorkie was attacked by a hawk while in the backyard playing with his buddy a gold retriever. The hawk picked up the yorkie and was flying away when the retriever lept up and managed to grab the yorkie by its leg and the retriever and hawk played tug until luckily the hawk let go AND the human mom was in the backyard WITH them but on the other side of the yard so she didnt get to the yorkie until the yorkie dropped to the ground. The yorkie survived and was in pretty bad shape. The vet said any dog 10 pounds and under should NEVER be left alone outside. so NO IT IS NOT OKAY! But it wasn't a dumb question |

				 | I would never leave mine outside. They are gated in the kitchen while we are gone so they have lots of room to wander about. |

				 | I would have to agree. When I am at work, Coco has full run of the house with the t.v on for background noise; my room is like her giant crate. She never has accidents in there. She is almost six months and doing quite well with being house trained. When she has an accident (we have been accident free for about 4 weeks...), its usually in the room that leads to the back yard. I work close to home, and check on her daily during my lunch time. |

I don't want you to think I'm telling you how you should treat your dog, I just want you to be aware of this.

Bubble Boy And at the end they found out he really didn't have any medical issue that required him being in a bubble? That was sad!

OMG That was an awesome rescue by that GR ! What a hero...that gave me chills. A friend (not a member here) DID have her yorkie snatched by a hawk and she was like 10 feet away - it happens so fast there's nothing you can do - the worst thing is ...even if a Hawk lets go - the talons can inflict fatal wounds... That little yorkie was very very lucky and he sure had an Guardian Angel in his good buddy..... | |

				 | Yesterday I had to convince my bf that hawks will grab yorkies. He was like "But they let them go!" And I'm like, "No they prey on them". I wouldn't have even thought of that if I wasn't on here!

				 | I have a fenced in backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence and I have locks on my gates. My dogs come in or out when they need to cause they have a doggy door.I do not know if you are planning on having these type items at your home but it sure has been really great for the dogs and their potty training was easier with a doggy door.
