No! its not okay! My vet told me that another yorkie was attacked by a hawk while in the backyard playing with his buddy a gold retriever. The hawk picked up the yorkie and was flying away when the retriever lept up and managed to grab the yorkie by its leg and the retriever and hawk played tug until luckily the hawk let go AND the human mom was in the backyard WITH them but on the other side of the yard so she didnt get to the yorkie until the yorkie dropped to the ground. The yorkie survived and was in pretty bad shape. The vet said any dog 10 pounds and under should NEVER be left alone outside. so NO IT IS NOT OKAY!
But it wasn't a dumb question
