![]() Although I realize these are valid concerns, sorry, I have to throw this out the window as valid points to argue against this system. IMO, no dog should be allowed unsupervised in an area where predators or people would even have access to them. That's just reckless and irresponsible if you ask me. If you know that your dog isn't going anywhere, but someone or something can get it, WHY on earth would you put them in a position where that can happen?

![]() I suppose it's possible that someone would have the system and still accompany the dog outside (and would therefore be alert to strangers & big dogs), it just didn't seem likely to me. It seemed like the whole point of the fence was to be able to let the pup out by himself. In which case, as we've both said, the pups is in danger.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | ![]() Well as long as we've had the electric wire (even when we had our GSPs), we never had an issue of a dog or any other animal come into our yard. It's low enough to the ground that if a dog tried to dig into our yard, they will get a feel of it. BUT, to each his own. What has worked for us may not work for others but I swear by ours.

| ![]() I have had my invisible fence for about 8 yrs. I have 4 yorkies ranging from 6- 12 lbs and they all were properly trained (a 3 week process) and love the fee roam of the yard and stay well within their broundries. The Original Invisable Fence Co. (there are many imitations) is the only one who is recommeded by the Humane Society for Cruelity to animals. True it will not prevent other dogs from coming in my yard but my neighbors alll are conciouus (sp? ) people and I live on a quiet culdisac. When my k kids are out doors I look out the window at the first signs of barking.. to see what the fuss is about and never leave them out when I leave. If you are considering a fence this is the best fence to get. They ae nation wide. If you have any questions pplease email me. Janie |

Chachi, depending on the dog, be careful. My sister has one of these for her pool area and her mini schnauzer knows where he can go when the collar is on. He also knows where he can go when it is off. And when he isn't wearing it, he is right in the pool area as soon as he hits the door. The dogs can and do figure it out eventually.
