Nor does it keep someone from coming into your yard and taking your dog.

Although I realize these are valid concerns, sorry, I have to throw this out the window as valid points to argue against this system. IMO, no dog should be allowed unsupervised in an area where predators or people would even have access to them. That's just reckless and irresponsible if you ask me. If you know that your dog isn't going anywhere, but someone or something can get it, WHY on earth would you put them in a position where that can happen?
