Not eating

My Maggie Mae doesn't really eat very much. She gets 1/3 cup of Science Diet dog food a day and hardly eats any of it. She feels fine though, because on Saturday when I was out of town my Mom puppy-sat at her house for me. She said Maggie chowed down on the kibbles and bits food she feeds her dogs. Maybe she just doesn't like Science diet anymore, but it's what she has eaten ever since I got her. She also doesn't eat if she is left at home alone. I think she has a serious case of separation anxiety . Which dog foods do you use????

Yoda gets Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 along with fresh boiled chicken. It could be Maggie Mae wants different food now, you may want to try a different kind of food for her, that might help.

When the label fussy eater came up,mine got 1st prize,they eat merrick canned and yorkie by cannine for dry,when they want to,last night they turned up there noses at chili's steak,so fussy,maybe a little,sometimes they eat boiled chicken,sometimes not,but they wont eat the same thing 2 days in a row

Hello,
As long as she is acting okay then don't worry too much about her eating. If she's very tired and not active then you should worry and take her to the vet ASAP.

I feed Preston Eukenuba and also give him two pea size dots of Nutracal.

FYI - Preston doesn't eat very much either... Probably a cup of food everyday.

All three of mine love dry Eukanuba for small breeds. Even my mom's finicky malteses eat it when they come to visit.

My dogs don't have separation anxiety --- and they will almost never eat their food when I'm gone.

They will eat it before I leave in the morning (if they want to) -- but, if it isn't eaten in the morning - it's almost always still there when I get home. And, they'll eat it after I get home.

Don't ask me why dogs do this -- but, many people has posted here before that their dogs do the same thing.

**** And, my dogs do seem to get tired of different foods from time to time. I had some treats that they just loved for months - and now, they just turn their noses and walk away. What's with that!!!!!

I would just try something different! It sounds like she just doesnt like the Science Diet!

Mine is a good eater, but not in the morning. When she gets up I feed her and she wants nothing to do with it. She won't eat until about noon or 1:00, weird pup. LOL. I feed my girl eukenuba small breed puppy.

When I cant get my dogs to eat I mix cottage cheese in their food and they always eat it.
