I don't have a fenced in yard, so therefore I have to take Chattie and Peppy out on a leash -- they are prisoners. When we take Chizzie out we carry a ball and if she gets distracted and starts to stray, the ball will refocus her. One day soon I hope to have a fenced in yard, and yes, if the dogs abuse the yard I will put an electric wire around it. If I feel like they are threatened by other critters, the wire will go on the outside.
