| All The Lost Babies I get kinda sad or even slightly depressed when I see a story of a lost baby, either here or on my FB group. Sometimes I avoid reading them. But I also suffer from anxiety and Avoidant Personality Disorder, which means you tend to avoid emotional stuff. It's just so SAD when I someone says "my baby has gone over the Rainbow Bridge." And I start thinking about the day I will eventually lose wee Freya. But I'm trying to focus on the now, the good times I'm having with her, and that badness is a long way off. |

| I know how you feel, every time I read a baby has crossed over I cry because I know the pain that person is feeling, and I remember the day I was told I had to let my girl go, 5 years and the tears still flow.

| same here too. I remember seeing this one video and it tore me up. OMG, I cried as if it I was actually going through it myself. Here is the link. It's a video of a women who had to put her dog down and it tore her up. I am the same way every time I have to put one of my babies to sleep. https://www.facebook.com/javierolive...2MjUwNjg4MzY4/ The other thing I found interesting is that a vet said that at least 90% of people leave the room. The vet said it is the worst thing you can do because your pet is looking for you to be there. How can anyone leave their pets at the one time they need them the most. I stay with my babies until the end. Last edited by yavenay; 09-27-2018 at 05:50 AM. |

| Lost our first Yorkie 3 yrs ago. Now we have a 2 yr old Yorkie that stopped jumping on furniture, going up and down stairs, hardly eats. She was a big eater. Took her to vet and vet could not find anything physically wrong with her. Thinking of trying another vet |

| I watched the 1st 5 seconds of the video and then I had to close it. I know I would be crying like a baby if i watched it. I am the same way you are Joan. I unfortunately have had to be in that room a couple of times in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking. I cry uncontrollably but I have to be there for my baby. No way I could ever look myself in the mirror if I let them leave alone. With the amount of yorkie lovers on this site it is inevitable that we are going to read about losing them. But that is why we all come together here. There is no other place that we will find people who understand how we all feel toward our babies.

| I'm into avoiding all the agony I can as the loss is always so great, so sad and so overwhelming that their pain always breaks my heart. No way to read those threads or posts without agonizing right along with them. That's why the concept of Rainbow Bridge is so necessary.

| I can tell I don't want to watch this video at all lol. It's just the way I am. It's why I made this thread lol. When I hear of people losing their babies I get emotional. |

| I know what you mean. This videos was hard to watch. The owner really loved her pet and it was extremely difficult for her to put him to sleep. I've had pets my entire life and have had to put to sleep several of them. It never gets easier. |

| I have anxiety, panic attacks as well as functioning Autism and depression so I get where your coming from. Sometimes I go to that place of one day I’m not going to have them anymore but I try to stay away from it but with Callie who is 11 it’s hard.

The vet gave him a solid exam, and everything (heart, breathing, etc.) was solid. He has bad LP problems, and is barely 5 pounds, but he came through with flying colors. The vet did give him an antibiotic since his trachea was irritated, and she did state that because of his age and CT she thought it was safest. Fast forward two days, and he was running around playing fetch! I am older and retired, and have faced end-of-life issues with many of our pets. I know that it is easier said than done, but I make a conscious effort to recognize that my time with this wonderful little guy is growing less, and I make every possible effort to enjoy him while he is with us. He sleeps for much of the day, but he often sleeps curled up against me on the couch. When he does want to play, we focus on him (knowing that he will tire within a small time and that we can go back to whatever...) May you find love and happiness each day with your beloved Callie! Take the time to build the memories which will last for a lifetime, and give her a kiss from Beau!
