| 10 nationwide stores that allow dogs I didn't know about a few of these! Do you think this is true, have you ever taken your dog into one of these? Distractify | 10 Brilliant National Stores That Allow Dog Shoppers, Too Jackson's been in Home Depot many times, and obviously Petco, and he comes to most outdoor restaurants/bars with me, but never thought he was allowed in others.

| Well Barnes and Noble has a cafe thing so I highly doubt they can legally allow it. I'm doubtful all of these allow it but who knows. Callie goes in pet stores local and big chains, she has gone into Lowes and tractor supply. When she was a puppy we had her in a stroller and took her into bass pro-shop.

| Dog friendly store Thanks for the info, I have been to a few of them and will try the others. I did try and take my dog into a SoCal Barnes and Noble....not even near the cafe area.....and I was told no dogs allowed. :-(( Perhaps it depends on the branch and city? |

| My husband just saw someone bring their dog into Barnes and Noble the other day....we were discussing the fact that it shouldn't be allowed since there is food there.... |

| That list is not accurate...Joann's no longer allows dogs. I used to take mine all of the time and their policy changed.

| I have been to Marshall's, Ross and TJ Maxx and not had a problem. I have also been in Macy's and Dillards but not sure what their policy is. My Hobby Lobby loves my pups! Oh, and Hancock has never said a word to me.

| Most Home Depots I've been too do not allow dogs... At least that's what the sign on the door says. Kaji and other pups are always welcome. In fact, we get better service when Kaji goes! Ross use to have a corporate pets ok policy, but more and more stores are not allowing them inside. The only trend I've seen that stands the test of time is the more affluent the community, the more dog friendly it is. Since we moved last year, Kaji is now welcome to Coldstones to pick out ice cream. Great Danes have been spotted at stores like Staples, Best Buy... Etc.

| I guess I'm in the minority here but I don't think any stores should allow dogs unless it's a pet specific store. Too many irresponsible owners, too many people with phobias/allergies/etc... Safer for pets AND people if they are not out and about IMO.

| Personally, I would rather be around dogs than people and their coughing, snotty nosed kids. Irresponsible parents dragging their sick kids out make me want to scream.

| TJ Maxx, all the pet stores, Home Depot, Lowe's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Family Dollar, and more allow us to bring them. Of course, our 3 never touch the floor, street or sidewalks. Joann's has not allowed them since at least 4years ago, so, yep, I shop at Michael's and Hobby Lobby...have only been in Joann's twice...out of desperation...LOL Thank you for the list.

| I agree with you on parents needing to keep their sick and/or misbehaving children home.

| I was out yesterday with Callie we went to a pet expo but it was very small and we were where there were a lot of stores over an hour away from home and I thought about just taking Callie in her stroller into a few of the stores but decided not to. I would have taken her only into like hobby lobby and Tuesday morning. If you use the stroller is it best to zip it closed? Mine has tethers and Callie prefers to be tethered in and have it open.
