I do believe he was asked if he was a breeder which he denied, asked if he was the specific breeder that Snowbird was mentioning he denied. He stated that he read threads without joining YT before he joined in 2015 and started posting but that was not believed. How can someone defend themselves against unproven accusations.

Actually your version is not exactly what occurred. Here is where a lot was said....specifically about this posting thing...he/she said the following and I will post the link after I quote what he said:

He/she kept insisting he/she was in Colorado . but the moderator called him/her out on it...that is further along in that thread. He/she was more than likely posting from where the breeder lives. If you find that difficult to believe from me, then why not message the moderator and ask? She commented here and rarely confronts people so something clearly was up...and my guess it was the breeder.

Thank you, Buster Brown. I haven't been back to YT because I've had some medical procedures. It seemed a long month due to medical issues.

In terms of technology, I guess they track IP addresses; didn't think to mention IP address as a factor since I didn't think anyone relied on IP addresses anymore. My IP cycles through about 50 different IPs throughout the U.S.; at times, it doesn't cycle as often especially if I don't power off my PC. Let people think what they want. I won't post anymore. But I did want to thank you for your comments.

Perhaps you are referring to static vs dynamic, but I never heard of them (IP addresses) being in different states. That would make it pretty impossible for computers to communicate with one another...I think??

Given working in hi-tech/Information Technology for approximately 20 years, in the Silicon Valley and elsewhere, for Fortune 100 companies and the Department of Defense, I am quite familiar with the difference between dynamic and static IPs. Regardless of whether your IP is dynamic or static, it will still identify your geographic location. An anonymous or hidden (masked) IP/VPN is totally different. The primary objectives of the latter are to protect one's physical location for reasons of personal safety, prevent online identity theft, and to safeguard (from online theft or damage) personal and financial information stored on one's computer. Although the following is not a product I personally use, you might wish to review the description of the following product for further information about the idea in general:

Having been a school teacher for many years I know how important it is to think before we speak or write a message. This site has been a great help to me. Actually it makes sense to me. What does not make sense is the person who claims her IP changes to be all over the country. Now...if she is using a proxy, that is a different story....that is probably what she is doing now, thinking she can pull the wool over peoples' eyes.

Linda can you explain it to me? Like if I am on the net from work in Toronto versus at home does my IP addy change? What about when I travel to the States and use WiFi in cafes motels etc?

Each computer has its own IP that tells its location. It is similar to a mailing address or telephone number.

We started talking about this because someone said their IP changes all of the time and the IP is in different states...highly unlikely but it was just another attempt to try to cover up her identity which at this point is a total waste of her time.

When you connect at a wifi hotspot, your IP will be whatever is assigned to them. When you use a work computer, you will have their IP.

Some IPs do change (I am talking about each computer...not traveling from place to place)....Internet Service Providers sometimes do that. Those are called dynamic IPs. Static IPs are those that remain constant.

You could call your ISP if you really want to know what you have, but honestly it should not affect you at all anyway. The one thing I have seen is on networks such as IRC, whole blocks might be banned because of dynamic IPs because, if a person is a trouble maker, they can just recycle and have a new IP and join.

I can look around and see if this is explained better somewhere on the internet....... I have some basic knowledge of it but not in depth knowledge so I may not be explaining it well.
