At the pet store do you pick/clean up your pets potty

I just felt like me and those of us who like to take our pet to the store were being judge by those who don't. In my opinion it's different in Judy's case because she is a breeder and it would be devastating for her to get parvo and bring it into her house or any other illnesses. Callie though is pretty healthy, updated on her vaccines, and it feel safe going to the pet stores. She absolutely loves it. It may only be once every 4 months or so. Callie although still small is 17 pounds and maybe can fight certain illness better. I have used dog sanatizing spray on her feet and I really can feel dogs out pretty good and know dog body language pretty good to know what is safe for her. Most of the time I g at times everyone is at work and I prefer to take her to the two very clean very nice local stores rather then petsmart or petco.

Taylor I know you feel you are a good judge of dogs but let me give you an example from my life experiences. We had one of the kindest sweetest German Police dogs you could ever meet when we first were married. 2 years later I got pregnant and this beautiful loving dog decided to grab me by the arm and sink his teeth in, stood growling very meanly at me until my DH grabbed him by the collar and pulled him off me. I would of bet my life this could never happen with this dog. So we may think we know dogs behavior but you can never be absolutely sure.

He didn't just lift his leg and pee. He was marking the entire aisle and the woman just kept shopping, she was aware he was doing it though. Didn't scold him or anything.

Totally agree. Even the sweetest dog still has teeth and you never know what could set one off. Because you've (in general) been around numerous dogs and can read their body language there can always be one who can wag it's tail then bite you on the a**

My friend had a big dog who would walk up wagging it's tail and try to get you to pet it. My friend warned everyone not to pet it because he'd bite out of nowhere, even if he asked to be rubbed and you just did what he wanted.

My co worker had 2 chows....my son and I were invited to go into her back yard to get firewood. I am very leary about chows, as, while I am sure there are thousands of sweet chows out there, I have never met one. My coworker, my son and I were standing by the wood, and one of those chows quietly walked up to my son, and without a word, clamped down on his forearm. You never know for certain, what a dog may or may not do.

I normally watch how a dog is behaving before I allow Callie to aprotch but honestly there are a few breeds I just personally don't trust and will snag her up before we go around them and Germans are one of them. Callie is my baby but I try my best to let her go out and do doggy things that she really loves. Ugh like apparently putting on a dress means you have to mess in the dirt lol.

A wagging tail is not an indicator of a happy or friendly dog.

I don't have my baby yet but if I did I would do it.

Now I go to school in Midtown Atlanta. In Midtown it is a lot of people with dogs. I see a lot of them pick up after their dog. But it's this one man that don't he let his dog go where he want to go. One time he seen me walking his way and he let his dog go right there where I had to walk so I had to go around it. And I was looking right at him and he was looking right at me and you would think he would stop his dog from doing it right there but he didn't.

It is for my bulldog Roxie. When she shakes her tail aka butt because her tail is like a corkscrew she is extremely happy/excited to see someone. This is what I mean...what applies to one or fifty dog does not apply to all dogs. In your experience dogs wagging tails/shaking butts may mean to approach with caution but in Roxie's case it means " I hope you're ready for me to give you kisses!"

In most cases it is a good thing but with a dog one does not know just because his tail is wagging does not mean go ahead and approach the dog. There are dogs that wag there tail when being aggressive. But this is off topic......

I'm a bit confused...you felt you needed to defend yourself for whatever reason and then ppl later responded to what you said. Then you later say the discussion is off topic but this is YT! We always get off topic as do "real life" conversations. If you felt you needed to defend yourself by all means do it but I wouldn't expect ppl to stay "mum" when they disagree with you.
