| They gave her a shot for pain and some Benadryl. Got almost home and she threw up 4 times So we're back at vet cuz they don't want her to get dehydrated. Will let you know what they do this time. It was scary to say the least. Molly doesn't get sick from her shots and I've never had an animal have these problems.

Some things are more important than money. This dog is now vomiting so it's clear that she's reacting to the vaccine. OP so glad you are on top of your dog. I know she's in good hands. You're both in my thoughts tonight. For the future please proceed cautiously and conservatively with vaccines and make sure you have a vet that is fully on board with knowing what to do. As I said above, a member here lost a dog from a vaccine -- anaphylactic shock -- so this should be taken seriously.

| I have had dogs for many years and it is very rare to have such a reaction. Sometimes if the pup is given a shot in the hip area there is a possibility of the muscle being tense when the needle goes in. If so that can cause the area to be painful for a while. I am assuming that the shots this pup had were sub q and should not have had any muscle involvement IF given properly. There is no reason for a pup to be swollen and in pain after injections that are done properly. It is far too common for these little pups to have allergic reactions. I wish vets would warn people about that! |

| Maggie Mae was admitted to ER vet hospital to give I'VE fluids, pain meds & to keep a watchful eye on her all night. Better to keep her there than something happen during the night! She is my precious baby & is do anything to make her better! Her vaccine was given in her left upper shoulder area as far as I could tell from the swelling area. I'd never heard a dog yelp with a shot so that took me by surprise to start with. This emergency vet will fax all records to Maggie's vet so he'll have them for future vaccines. I will be sure to give Benadryl before anymore vaccines. I appreciate all the kind words, prayers and wisdom from all of you!

He will still have a reaction to the shots, but it's a small reaction. He will be sore and sleepy, he will usually get a lump as well. I would honestly talk to your vet if that is something you want for Rasta-
