I have had dogs for many years and it is very rare to have such a reaction. Sometimes if the pup is given a shot in the hip area there is a possibility of the muscle being tense when the needle goes in. If so that can cause the area to be painful for a while.
I am assuming that the shots this pup had were sub q and should not have had any muscle involvement IF given properly. There is no reason for a pup to be swollen and in pain after injections that are done properly. It is far too common for these little pups to have allergic reactions. I wish vets would warn people about that! |
