| ![]() LOL !!! Yes it did. My neighbor directly across the street (who happens to be a police officer) seen everything and he was even freaked out. This is the same neighbor who stood at his door laughing his butt off watching me running from that stupid pigeon with a garden hose in hand. I had been washing my van and it was nowhere in sight but decided to show up mid wash. It got to the point where if I had to go outside my family would not step out with me. They would go before or after me and laugh at me run from the dang bird. The only other person it went after was my sister in law. That's when I got a good laugh watching her run in circles in the front yard before making a mad dash to the house.

I've witnessed the same where a little flock of birds attack and chase of the massive hawks in my neighbourhood. Last week it was seagulls chasing them away | |

| ![]() I don't think it is pratical to destroy the nest, as most nests are very high up in the tree. I think it's best to try to make the environment less attractive so perhaps they move the next time they build a nest. Yesterday, we heard the hawk before we saw it...just confirmed it was a mama talking to her baby(s)

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Around here, it's a Black Bird(s) which aggressively get after Hawks. I'm not sure if that's their right name, they're smaller than Grackles, and if it's not them, then the Mocking Birds do it.

I'm glad it didn't get in your hair!! That's a fear of mine with birds. I'm ok till they get close to my head, then the bird better watch out- I'm swatting at them! I'm glad you both are ok. ![]()

| ![]() I'm so scared of birds! I had a nightmare when I was little that a bird was attacking me and picking at my head. And this is way before I seen the movie "The Birds" so you can imagine how freaked I was after seeing it and I was already like 16. My daughter just told me that this crazy bird went after a little girl riding her bike down our block. I can still hear the flapping of its wings. Every time we talk about it my husband still laughs . I do too but it wasn't too funny when it was happening!

| ![]() I live outside of town in a wooded area. Hawks pass through this area but don't usually stay too long. We have more issues with owls. Gracie is never outside by herself and I always walk her on a short leash. Have never had an attack but I have had owls swoop down, land on low branches and stare at us when walking in the morning. They do stay out long after sunrise. We now wait until later in the morning to go for a long walk. People with larger Yorkies should be aware that a hungry hawk will attack larger animals. An 8 or 10lb dog could get sliced up pretty well with those talons so don't take chances. The young birds that are out on their own for the first few months make some daring attacks when they have not had a meal for a few days. |

I did get some mirrors put on a few things around my patio, and hung foil strips on the tree near there. I haven't hear the hawks since this morning. ![]()
