| Sending prayers...you need to find out if he has tapeworm bc if he does it is taking all his nutrients. He is so young and small and frankly if he has tapeworm then that is why he is having problems with hypoglycemia. I am praying you get some answers.

| So you haven't had him very long. . I'm sorry but I'm thinking there might be breeder responsibility here.

Any breeder I know would not let one go for at least three months, longer if tiny....This is just getting sadder and sadder.... That breeder is TOTALLY out of line... | |

| I am not a lawyer nor a vet, but from following the history on your thread I would suggest that you do have a case. 7 . The illness or injury was not contracted post adoption, and you took great care of Joey. 9. If the reason for the illness were a parasite ( .??? ) , 1) the pup is certainly critically ill. And 2) if the parasite was in the pup prior to adoption ( as I would think it was, from the mother/fleas etc) then the breeder should be liable. As for the hypoglycemia, I think the health issue most probably caused it....not any inaction by the adoptive mom. The last para would give you a refund of the cost of the pup only, not the vet fees. If the dog is not going to survive, God forbid, it looks like that is all you will get. Very inadequate I know. In that case the pup should be returned to the breeder alive to be assessed. Not a very comprehensive or generous contract!! When this is over, hopefully with Joey well again, perhaps you should give the breeder's name here so YTers are warned. This is not a compassionate or good breeder in my view? Again prayers for all involved. |

No good and ethical breeder will let a puppy go, especially to a novice owner that is weighing under 2lbs and less than 12 wks old. Some leeway of course for the bigger ones at 10 or 11 weeks who are weighing solidly in at 2.5 or 3lbs. Razzle came to me a "novice" owner of a toy breed weighing in at just 2lbs and 12 wks old. He was so very tiney to my eyes. I am so very sorry that this your first experience with a beautifull baby pup turned out this way. Please know that there are many ethical breeders out there, that can and will support you. Also know that here you will be supported. I am praying hard for your baby and for you. There will one day be a light at the end of this tunnel.

| Are you returning the pup to the breeder today or keeping him at the vets overnight

| Senior Yorkie Talker | My thoughts are with you and Joey, this is such a sad following, can't believe in your country no financial support is available and the vet is thinking money first and an animals live second, really sad thought, think if your in contact with the breeder and she has offered to take the pup to her vet then she can not be all bad, she brought little Joey into the world that's something that would be hard to turn your back on and couldn't imagine her doing anything wrong by the pup x

| I live in South Florida too! I wish I could come over and give you a hug-so sorry you have so much sorrow from your little one. Where did you get little Joey from?? Maybe Lil Sis and I can help you as I honestly do think the breeder has some responsibility. |
