| Donating YT 500 Club Member | Really, hard as it is to take, the owner of this baby was remiss in their responsibility, an animal lover has taken this lil darlin' in and it it down to the ownner to find out where their baby is, right now I am overjoyed she has found a loving place to stay. Big tattooed guy, you are beautiful.

| We have had Laddy disappear once at 8 months old on the 4th of July for 12 long hours and once recently for 3 at our new house with a complete fenced in yard. We were outside with him both times. I have never beaten myself up more over anything in my life as I did those hours he was missing. My heart was literally breaking as we searched for him. Thank God both times he was found safe. The last time he was found and returned by a gentleman and I thank God the man was good enough to bring him home. At the time he was having horrible allergy problems and looked very unkempt I cannot imagine if he had been kept because someone thought I didnt care about him. Please do all you can to locate the owners of this little girl. My son's boxer who was dearly loved by us all has been missing over a year now and we have not given up hope on finding her. It is not our place to say the person who lost this one was irresponsible. Look at the ones that have been let out of hotel rooms by maids recently.

| I don't think we have to worry as I think grumpylilmoose will do his best to find that cutie's home...and if the original home can't be find I think this lil one has a dang good new home! I just wanted to say one thing about assumptions. I follow a lot of rescues and this one rescue on the east coast was called to get a "stray" dog that was loitering around. The rescue posted pics of this dog attempting to find its home. The rescue was getting lambasted that they would even THINK about returning this dog to its owner. The dog was literally skin and bones, fur coming out and jumpy at sounds and sudden movements...the picture and description of the dog was awful. But thank god the rescue persisted...the original owners were found. It was a very very much loved dog in close to the final stages of cancer. They had gotten the dog as a younger dog who had been abused. It never lost its fear of noises and sudden movements. They had been faithfully vetting the dog even going thru w chemo. A service man had accidently let the dog out of the yard, another person had picked the dog up and had brought the dog to a neighboring towns animal shelter a few days later. The family had been searching high and low and some how a friend of a friend had seen the facebook picture on the rescues facebook site. Just some food for thought...

| I don't see any indication that Mr Grumpylilmoose is holding this little dog captive. He seems to be rightfully concerned about having to return the dog if it has a neglectful owner. He has had her a very short time and is watching for any signs of an owner. He has plenty of time to check into other sources. If someone is frantically looking for their dog they will be sending out very obvious signals. A truly concerned owner will be doing all the things that we know should be done to get the dog back. Mr Grumpy! You mentioned that she likes to sleep on you so I wanted to mention that Yorkies have no undercoat like most other dogs do. They tend to get cold easily and will seek out body heat or other methods of getting warm because they can't retain heat as well as most animals do. I'm sure she loves you but she may also have some trouble staying warm. Many of us put fleece shirts or sweaters on our pups during colder weather. These little dogs are so close to the floor that they can get chilled easily. I know you don't like the idea of a purse but they do have some really cool clothing for dogs on ebay and etsy. I never put clothing on an animal until Gracie. She is one of those heat seeking Yorkies. She actually loves her cool weather wear. |

| She is a cutie and I think "Rogue" fits her perfectly. If you don't find her owners, I know she has found the best possible home she could have with you. I did read the posts and see that you are looking for her owners but I agree with some of the other people - if her owners truly care, they would be looking for her (as you said) with diligence - going door to door, posting flyers all over, calling shelters, posting on Craigslist, etc. I know that I would be doing that if either of mine got lost. It doesn't seem like that has happened at this point. I agree with the fourth post above this one "Big tattooed guy, you are beautiful."

"Anyone missing a small young dog in Weatherford OK? A Yorkshire terrier to be exact? Fill me in on details about her, so I know she is yours!" I don't think it's necessary for the finder to post a picture; you want the supposed owner to be able to describe the dog. The owner should post the pictures. I think you need to be aware that Yorkie's hair grows long unlike many breeds who look the same all their life, a Yorkie can change drastically if you change the hairstyle by either cutting or growing out. Look at the eyes and shape of the ears, as well as body size and length.

| Just because there aren't ads all over the internet or the dog was thin, had long toenails doesn't prove the owner was irresponsible. My sister and her friends don't use computers and they all have dogs and since my sister is legally blind, she can't keep her dogs' nails as short as they should be until someone can take her to the groomer or vet to have the nails clipped - and a lot of ready help isn't always available this day and time for things like that. But each one of those women loves their dogs as their own children and would be lost without their baby. All they would know to do if their dogs were lost is call Animal Control. Two of them are too scared to chip their dogs - afraid it will cause tumors or hurt the dog. A lot of young owners on YT don't have their dogs chipped either. I remember one dog that went missing last summer wasn't chipped and was missing 3 weeks until found. OP, I'm so glad you will try to help the owner find that little dog and if you never can find the owner, it sounds as if she has probably has a very good home. But a found dog's condition shouldn't automatically lead anyone to think it wasn't loved or cared for or lack of internet postings should never indicate to some that its owner is irresponsible. Many older owners or disabled people cannot go online or keep dogs nails short all of the time.

| There is a difference to nails needing to be clipped or nails being way to long! |
